After 7 rounds played we can already see who rules in the ACB and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

The game between second ranked Valencia Basket (5-2) and sixth ranked Caja Laboral (5-2) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Valencia Basket was defeated by Caja Laboral in a tough game in Valencia 75-79. The guests trailed by 13 points at the halftime before their 45-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Caja Laboral made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Valencia Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Italian-Argentinian Andres Nocioni (199-79) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. French Fabien Causeur (193-87) helped adding 22 points. At the losing side point guard Pau Ribas (193-87) responded with 16 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caja Laboral moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Valencia Basket. Caja Laboral is looking forward to face Blusens Monbus (#11) in Santoago de Comp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valencia Basket will play on the road against CB Canarias (#14) in Tenerife and is hoping to win this game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Madrid. Leader host Real Madrid (7-0) defeated their biggest opponent Gescrap BB (5-2) 98-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Gescrap BB. It was an exceptional evening for international Sergio Llull (192-87) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 7 assists. Rudy Fernandez accounted for 20 points. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Gescrap BB in the defeat. Undefeated Real Madrid have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Gescrap BB at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Real Madrid will play against bottom-ranked Assignia Manresa (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gescrap BB will play against FIATC Joventut (#10) in Badalona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
CB Canarias has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Sevilla, where they defeated Cajasol (1-6) 79-68 on Sunday. Ricardo Uriz fired 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Tomas Satoransky produced 16 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Canarias left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Cajasol. It was Cajasol's third loss in a row. CB Canarias will meet at home higher ranked Valencia Basket (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cajasol will play against CAI Zaragoza (#7).
Bottom-ranked Assignia Manresa (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to eleventh ranked Regal FC Barcelona (4-3) 89-47. Worth to mention a great performance of Ante Tomic who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. Assignia Manresa lost their seventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. Regal FC Barcelona's next round opponent will be Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#15) in Madrid and are hoping to win another game. Assignia Manresa will play at home against the league's leader Real Madrid having rather not much hope for a victory.
Blancos de Rueda (4-3) outlasted FIATC Joventut (4-3) in overtime by five points 89-84 on Saturday night. The game took place in Badalona. But the guests from Valladolid were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FIATC Joventut. It was a great evening for Uros Tripkovic who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 4 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated FIATC Joventut. Blancos de Rueda will face Lagun Aro GBC (#17) in San Sebastian in the next round and are hoping to win another game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: Unicaja won against Lagun Aro GBC on the opponent's court 67-54. Asefa Estudian. unfortunately lost to CAI Zaragoza in a home game 68-83. Mad-Croc was rolled over G.Canaria 2014 on the road 52-73. Blusens M. was defeated by UCAM Murcia on its own court 69-73.

Lagun Aro GBC - Unicaja 54-67

Very expected game in San Sebastian where 14th ranked Lagun Aro GBC (1-6) was defeated by seventh ranked Unicaja Malaga (5-2) 67-54 on Sunday.
