LEB Silver round 6 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Fontedoso Carrefour (4-2) against sixth ranked Aurteneche M. (4-2) 76-75 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Fontedoso Carrefour. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 27-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Aurteneche M. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Fontedoso Carrefour's 34. It was a good game for Bahamas guard Dynile Forbes (188-G-86, college: La-Monroe) who saved his team from a defeat with 22 points. Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Riley Luettgerodt (196-85, college: Hawaii, agency: I.D.S. Law) replied with 21 points and 6 assists for Fontedoso Carrefour. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aurteneche M. moved-up to second place, which they share with Avila and Clinicas Rincon. Fontedoso Carrefour will play next round against strong Clinicas Rincon trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Aurteneche M. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked CB Guadalajara as it allowed them to take a leadership position. CB Guadalajara defeated 8th ranked Palma at home 75-66. Point guard Sergio Llorente (188-90) scored 13 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Manuel Rodriguez chipped in 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Toni Canellas (196-82) with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Palma lost third consecutive game. Palma at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Prat Juventud. Palma will play next round against Cafes Aitona trying to get back on the winning streak. CB Guadalajara will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Oviedo CB on the road.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Oviedo CB (3-2) against tenth ranked Castello (2-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Oviedo CB was defeated by Castello in a tough game in Castellon 80-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oviedo CB. Jose Maria Garcia notched 20 points to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds by Will Hanley did not help to save the game for Oviedo CB. Castello moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Cafes Aitona. Loser Oviedo CB dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Lan Mobel ISB. Castello will meet higher ranked Lan Mobel ISB (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Oviedo CB will play against the league's leader CB Guadalajara where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Cafes Aitona (2-3) and Prat Juventud (2-4), which took place in San Sebastian. 7th ranked Cafes Aitona lost at home to tenth ranked Prat Juventud 47-59. The best player for the winners was Alex Ros who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Prat Juventud moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Palma. Cafes Aitona lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Prat Juventud's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked La Palma (#11) at home.

In the last game of round 6 Clinicas Rincon beat Lan Mobel ISB on the road 81-77.

Lan Mobel ISB - Clinicas Rincon 77-81

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Clinicas Rincon (4-2) beat 4th ranked Lan Mobel ISB (3-2) in Azpeitia 81-77. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Lan Mobel ISB was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Clinicas Rincon forced 19 Lan Mobel ISB turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Alberto Diaz (190-94) who scored 18 points and 6 assists. Bosnian-Serbian forward Dejan Todorovic (-94) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Clinicas Rincon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Lance Kearse (198, college: Eckerd) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Antonio Pantin (203-88) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Clinicas Rincon moved-up to second place, which they share with Avila and Aurteneche M. Lan Mobel ISB at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Clinicas Rincon's next round opponent will be Fontedoso Carrefour (#3) in Avila, which may be the game of the day. Lan Mobel ISB will play at home against Castello in Castellon.
