American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-F/C-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for Uni Girona, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Cadi ICG S. (#9, 2-4) with 29-point margin 81-52. Uni Girona is placed at 3rd position in Spanish LFB. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Uni Girona will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Monroe turned to be Uni Girona's top player in her first season with the team. Former Florida State University star has very solid stats this year. Monroe is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 7.5rpg) and averages impressive 60.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Amy Denson (186-F-84, agency: Regeneracom Sports) of Caja Rural. Denson had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she lead Caja Rural to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Burgos (#5, 3-3) 96-72. This victory allowed Caja Rural to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Denson is a newcomer at Caja Rural, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.9ppg (#5). She also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Bernice Mosby (186-F-84) of Conquero (#10). Mosby scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Mosby's great performance Conquero lost 62-83 to the league's current leader Rivas Ecopolis (#1, 7-0). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Conquero can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Mosby she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Mosby as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Taru Tuukkanen (190-C-77) of Caja Rural - 18 points and 6 rebounds
5. Aneika Henry (193-C-86) of Rivas Ecopolis - 14 points and 7 rebounds
6. Isabel Sanchez (179-G/F-76) of Perfumerias - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Rachel Allison (185-PF-87) of Burgos - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Ziomara Morrison (193-C-89) of Rivas Ecopolis - 13 points and 7 rebounds
9. Patricia Arguello (178-G-87) of UNB Obenasa - 18 points and 2 rebounds
10. Queralt Casas (178-G/F-92) of Rivas Ecopolis - 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
