The most exciting game of round 11 in the ACB took place in Bilbao. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Gescrap BB (8-3) to seventeenth ranked Cajasol (2-9) 79-76 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gescrap BB. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 28-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Cajasol had a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) who scored 18 points. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79) produced 24 points for the hosts. Cajasol moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Mad-Croc. Gescrap BB at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Cajasol is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lagun Aro GBC (#18) in San Sebastian in the next round. Gescrap BB will play on the road against Caja Laboral (#7) in Vitoria and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Madrid: Real Madrid (#1) and Asefa Estudiantes (#8). Asefa Estudiantes was defeated at home 74-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. International Rudy Fernandez (198-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 4 assists. Nikola Mirotic contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center German Gabriel (207-80) answered with 24 points for Asefa Estudiantes. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Real Madrid (11-0) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Asefa Estudiantes at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Real Madrid will play against Blusens Monbus (#10) in Santoago de Comp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asefa Estudiantes' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Baloncesto Fuenlabrada.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Valencia Basket (8-3) against tenth ranked Blancos de Rueda (6-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Valencia Basket was defeated by Blancos de Rueda in a tough game in Valladolid 66-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Valencia Basket. It was a great evening for Nacho Martin who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Pau Ribas responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Valencia Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Valencia Basket dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Blancos de Rueda will meet CB Canarias (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Valencia Basket will play against FIATC Joventut (#12) in Badalona and hope to secure a win.
The game with biggest result difference took place in San Sebastian. Local Lagun Aro GBC (1-10) was outscored by fifth ranked G.Canaria 2014 (8-3) 94-72. It was a quality performance for Spencer Nelson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Lagun Aro GBC's coach Alfonso Alonso gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. G.Canaria 2014 moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lagun Aro GBC lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. G.Canaria 2014's next round opponent will be Regal FC Barcelona (#5) at home. Lagun Aro GBC will play against Cajasol (#15) in Sevilla.

Other games of round 11 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
UCAM Murcia was defeated by Caja Laboral in Vitoria 87-83. Mad-Croc was beaten by CB Canarias at home 65-73. CAI Zaragoza won against Assignia M. on the opponent's court 82-75. Caja Laboral - UCAM Murcia 87-83

There was no surprise in Vitoria where 13th ranked UCAM Murcia (4-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Caja Laboral (8-3) 87-83. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as UCAM Murcia took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Caja Laboral had a 30-18 second period charge getting the lead and UCAM Murcia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-87. Caja Laboral made 25-of-27 charity shots (92.6 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by UCAM Murcia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Mad-Croc - CB Canarias 65-73

Everything could happen in Madrid at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked CB Canarias and 15th ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada had identical 2-8 record. But Baloncesto Fuenlabrada was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Tenerife 73-65. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted CB Canarias maintains fourteenth place with 3-8 record. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with nine games lost. CB Canarias' next round opponent will be higher ranked Blancos de Rueda (#11) in Valladolid and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
