Here is the weekly review of the top performing Spanish players, who play currently abroad.

Marc Gasol
Marc Gasol
#1. This week's number one is an international center Marc Gasol (216-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Memphis Grizzlies (14-4) in their last game. Despite Gasol's very good performance the Memphis Grizzlies lost 83-93 on the road to the Atlanta Hawks. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Gasol also added 8 rebounds, passed 5 assists and added 2 blocks (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 36 minutes on the court. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Gasol's fifth year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Gasol averages: 15.7ppg, 7.4rpg, 4.4apg, 1.4bpg, 2FGP: 51.5% and FT: 90.8%(79-87) in the 18 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

Serge Ibaka
Serge Ibaka
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Serge Ibaka (208-89, currently plays in NBA). Ibaka led Oklahoma City Thunder to a victory against the Brooklyn Nets (11-9) 117-111 in the NBA last Tuesday. He scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 3 blocks. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a very good 17-4 record this season. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Ibaka has very high stats. He averages: 14.3ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.1bpg, 2FGP: 61.5%(126-205), 3FGP: 23.1% and FT: 87.0%. Ibaka has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Spanish. Ex-C.B. L'Hospitalet player is in the roster of the Spanish senior national team.

Jose Manuel Calderon
Jose Manuel Calderon
#3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Jose Manuel Calderon (192-81, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He was not able to help the Toronto Raptors (4-18) in their last game. Despite Calderon's good performance the Toronto Raptors were badly defeated 92-74 in Portland by the Trail Blazers. He scored 12 points and added 6 assists in 32 minutes. It was Raptors' fifth consecutive loss in a row. Calderon is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his eighth year in Raptors' roster. Calderon has relatively good stats this season: 9.6ppg, 2.0rpg, 6.6apg, 2FGP: 38.5%, 3FGP: 46.8%(37-79) and FT: 93.8%(30-32) in the 22 games. He is also a member of the Spanish senior national team.

Victor Claver
Victor Claver
#4. Power forward Victor Claver (207-88, currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Jose Manuel Calderon in the NBA last game. Claver managed to help Portland Trail Blazers to win against the Toronto Raptors (4-18) 92-74. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Claver's overall stats this season are: 1.0ppg and 1.8rpg. He is also Spanish national team player.

Albert Miralles
Albert Miralles
#5. Former international center Albert Miralles (208-82, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for ALBA Berlin (4-5) in their game against Unicaja Malaga (7-2) in the Euroleague. He scored 7 points. The fourth-placed ALBA Berlin was defeated 74-63 in Malaga by the second-ranked Unicaja in the group B of Euroleague. Miralles' team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Miralles' overall stats this season are: 6.1ppg and 4.3rpg. He used to play for the Spanish national team seven years ago.

Daniel Munoz
Daniel Munoz
#6. Guard Daniel Munoz (183-87, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an overtime American's victory against the University of Maryland -Baltimore County 73-70 in the NCAA last Thursday. He recorded 19 points in 48 minutes. The The American University has conference record this season. Munoz has been at the team for four years.
