Third-ranked Valencia Basket (9-4) gave a tough game to leader Real Madrid (13-0) on Thursday. Real Madrid managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected easier game. Valencia Basket cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. They outrebounded Valencia Basket 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. 31 personal fouls committed by Valencia Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International Felipe Reyes (206-80) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and international Sergio Llull (192-87) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. At the losing side Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 21 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Undefeated Real Madrid have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Valencia Basket at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with G.Canaria 2014 and Gescrap BB. Real Madrid are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lagun Aro GBC (#18) in San Sebastian in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Valencia Basket will play on the road against Assignia Manresa (#17) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
G.Canaria 2014 (#4) was upset in Madrid by eighth ranked Asefa Estudiantes 83-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of G.Canaria 2014. Canadian guard Carl English (192-81, college: Hawaii) nailed 27 points for the winning side and German Gabriel accounted for 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Azerbaijani power forward Spencer Nelson (202-80, college: Utah St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for G.Canaria 2014 in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Asefa Estudiantes (7-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. G.Canaria 2014 at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Valencia and Gescrap BB. Asefa Estudiantes will play against FIATC Joventut (#12) in Badalona in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. G.Canaria 2014 will play on the road against Blancos de Rueda (#11) in Valladolid and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will play against Cajasol (#15) in Sevilla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Badalona. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 15th ranked Cajasol (3-10) to twelfth ranked FIATC Joventut (6-7) 84-82 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cajasol. Worth to mention a great performance of Emmanuel Quezada who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. FIATC Joventut moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Blancos de R. Cajasol at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. FIATC Joventut's next round opponent will be higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (#7) in Madrid and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cajasol will play on the road against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#16) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in San Sebastian where higher ranked CAI Zaragoza (8-5) was upset on the court of eighteenth ranked Lagun Aro GBC (2-11) 79-70 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CAI Zaragoza. Qyntel Woods stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Lagun Aro GBC's coach Alfonso Alonso used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Lagun Aro GBC moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Assignia M. Loser CAI Zaragoza dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Lagun Aro GBC will face league's leader Real Madrid at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: UCAM Murcia was destroyed by Gescrap BB on the opponent's court 98-75. Blancos de R. was outscored by Caja Laboral in a home game 71-93. CB Canarias was rolled over Unicaja on the road 88-67. FCB Regal was defeated by Blusens M. on its own court 54-62.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by Lamont Hamilton of Gescrap BB.

Bottom-ranked Assignia Manresa managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses on Thursday night. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada 74-66. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Baloncesto Fuenlabrada won fourth quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) fired 17 points for the winners. American-Madagascar power forward Charles Ramsdell (208-85, college: Tulsa, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds.
