Tenth ranked Castello won a double-overtime thriller edging higher ranked Aurteneche M. by four points 93-97 on Saturday night. It was a good game for Victor Hidalgo who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Aurteneche M.'s coach Inaki Merino rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Castello (4-7) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Cafes Aitona and Palma. Aurteneche M. at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Castello will face higher ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (#7) in Avila in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.

Lan Mobel ISB - Avila 84-73

Everything could happen in Azpeitia at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Lan Mobel ISB and 6th ranked Fontedoso Carrefour had identical 5-5 record. This time Lan Mobel ISB used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Avila 84-73 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Lan Mobel ISB. Fontedoso Carrefour was better in third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Lander Lasa (193-88) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Antonio Pantin (203-88) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naturalized Senegalese center Moussa Diagne (210-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Oscar Herrero (182-87) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Fontedoso Carrefour. Four Fontedoso Carrefour players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lan Mobel ISB maintains fifth position with 6-5 record. Fontedoso Carrefour at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Lan Mobel ISB will have a break next round. Fontedoso Carrefour will play at home against Castello (#10) in Castellon.

Tenth ranked Castello won a double-overtime thriller edging higher ranked Aurteneche M. by four points 93-97 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aurteneche M. won fourth quarter 19-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Aurteneche M. used huge pressure winning it 19-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually double-overtime period 6-6. Castello made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Castello had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Castello looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for center Victor Hidalgo (204-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Power forward David Ortega (199-84) contributed with 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Javier Manuel Alvarado (183-85) added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Aurteneche M.Four Castello and five Aurteneche M. players scored in double figures. Very expected game when 8th ranked Cafes Aitona (4-7) was smashed by fourth ranked Clinicas Rincon (7-4) in San Sebastian 88-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Clinicas Rincon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Cafes Aitona's 28. Clinicas Rincon forced 19 Cafes Aitona turnovers and outrebounded them 42-19 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Bosnian-Serbian forward Dejan Todorovic (-94) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Jose Pozas (184-92) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Clinicas Rincon's coach Francis Tome felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Carlos Martinez (192-78, agency: Dynamics Global Management) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Jon Santamaria (191-82) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Cafes Aitona. Four Cafes Aitona players scored in double figures. Clinicas Rincon moved-up to third place, which they share with Prat Juventud. Newly promoted Cafes Aitona keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Clinicas Rincon will face Palma (#8) in S'Arenal in the next round where they are favorite. Cafes Aitona will play on the road against La Palma.

Very predictable result when third ranked Prat Juventud (7-4) edged 8th ranked Palma (4-7) in S'Arenal 77-74 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-74. It was a good game for power forward Alejandro Suarez (205-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Alex Ros (192-83) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ivan Matemalas (193-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Haitian-American center Robert Joseph (204-78, college: Union, TN) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Palma. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Prat Juventud have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-4 record behind leader Guadalajara, which they share with Clinicas Rincon. Newly promoted Palma keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Prat Juventud will face league's second-placed Oviedo CB at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palma will play against Clinicas Rincon (#4) in Malaga.

In 38 LEB Gold games in Spain he had 12.0ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.3apg last season. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Austrian Cup final in 2015.
