However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Maciej Lampe who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caja Laboral have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader Real Madrid. Assignia Manresa lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Caja Laboral will face CAI Zaragoza (#6) at home in the next round. Assignia Manresa will play against Blusens Monbus (#8) in Santoago de Comp.

Valencia was beaten by Lagun Aro GBC in San Sebastian 76-68.

Eighteenth-ranked Assignia Manresa (2-15) made lots of trouble for second ranked Caja Laboral (14-3) on Sunday. The visitors from Vitoria managed to secure only six-point victory 101-95. Assignia Manresa was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-21 charge of Caja Laboral, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-12. Caja Laboral made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Caja Laboral had a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Assignia Manresa was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. CB Canarias trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-78 at the end of the game. Gescrap BB made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Belgian forward Axel Hervelle (205-83) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Alex Mumbru (202-79) chipped in 15 points. point guard Ricardo Uriz (189-80) produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Saul Blanco (195-85) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gescrap BB moved-up to fifth place.
