An interesting game for Rivas Ecopolis (11-0) which played road game in Zamora against 4th ranked Caja Rural (6-5). Top-ranked Rivas Ecopolis managed to get a 5-point victory 71-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Caja Rural. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Rivas Ecopolis made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Rivas Ecopolis outrebounded Caja Rural 35-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American center Aneika Henry (193-86, college: Florida) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Queralt Casas (178-92) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Amy Denson (186-84, college: Arizona St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds for Caja Rural. Undefeated Rivas Ecopolis have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Newly promoted Caja Rural keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with UNB Obenasa. Rivas Ecopolis are looking forward to face league's second-placed Perfumerias Avenida in Salamanca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caja Rural will play on the road against Hondarribia-Irun and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

Argon Uni Girona's coach Anna Caula felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Britany Miller (193-87, college: Florida St.) with 19 points. Argon Uni Girona maintains third position with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Rivas Ecopolis. Socinsa Bembibre lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Argon Uni Girona will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Socinsa Bembibre will play at home against Cadi ICG S. (#7) in Seu D'urgell to get more than just one victory in their record.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: Gran Canaria was beaten by Cadi ICG S. on the road 78-67. UNB Obenasa destroyed Conquero on its own court 70-43. Hondar.-Irun was outscored by Burgos in a road game 80-54.
The most impressive performance of 12th round was 16 points and 14 rebounds by Vanessa Ble of Gran Canaria.


Uni Girona - Bembibre 79-50

The game between third ranked Argon Uni Girona (8-3) and 11th ranked Socinsa Bembibre (1-10) in Girona ended with biggest points difference. Argon Uni Girona outscored guests from Bembibre 79-50. The game without a history. Argon Uni Girona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game, while Socinsa Bembibre only scored five points from the stripe. Argon Uni Girona had a 32-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Eva Bou (-90) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Aja Parham (183-84, college: Boston Coll.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and the other American import forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Very expected game when 10th ranked Conquero (2-9) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked Navarra Pamplona (6-5) 70-43. It looked good early as Conquero took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Navarra Pamplona had a 15-8 second period charge getting the lead and Conquero was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 43-70. Navarra Pamplona dominated on the defensive end, holding Conquero to just 4 points in third quarter. Navarra Pamplona forced 21 Conquero turnovers and outrebounded them 41-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and the former international power forward Laura Herrera (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Navarra Pamplona players scored in double figures.
