It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference suggests that Melilla Baloncesto is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-70. Melilla Baloncesto outrebounded CB Clavijo 38-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game in Coruna was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Palencia Baloncesto (9-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Leyma Basquet (6-9). Palencia Baloncesto managed to secure a 6-point victory 69-63. It was an exceptional evening for Urko Otegui who led the winners and scored 21 points and 4 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Palencia Baloncesto maintains fourth place with 9-6 record. Leyma Basquet lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Palencia Baloncesto's next round opponent will be Planasa NV (#7) in Pamplona. Leyma Basquet will play on the road against Caceres Basket.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Lleida. Local Lleida Basquet (7-8) outscored higher ranked Planasa NV (7-8) 90-61 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Planasa NV. The best player for the winners was Daniel Rodriguez who scored 20 points and 8 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lleida Basquet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Breogan and Planasa NV. Lleida Basquet will face Lobe Huesca (#9) on the road in the next round. Planasa NV will play against Palencia Baloncesto (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 15 FCB Regal II was defeated by Lucentum in Alicante 92-77. Ourense beat Caceres at home 81-73.

Lucentum - FCB Regal II 92-77

There was no surprise when 8th ranked FCB Regal II (6-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked Meridiano Alicante (10-5) 92-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Meridiano Alicante. FCB Regal II was better in fourth quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Meridiano Alicante made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while FCB Regal II only scored five points from the stripe. FCB Regal II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Guillermo Rejon (206-77) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Swedish swingman Marcus Eriksson (196-93) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Josep Perez (184-94) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Meridiano Alicante maintains third place with 10-5 record having just three points less than leader A.Ford Burgos. Newly promoted FCB Regal II keeps the eighth position with nine games lost.
