It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Rivas Ecopolis's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-8 extending their advantage to 17 points. Rivas Ecopolis forced 28 IMOS Brno turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rivas Ecopolis made 8 blocks. The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.
