Hector Macia
An interesting game for Oviedo CB (10-3) which played road game in Malaga against 3rd placed Clinicas Rincon (9-5). Second ranked Oviedo CB managed to get a 13-point victory 67-54. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Clinicas Rincon. The game was mostly controlled by Oviedo CB. Clinicas Rincon managed to win second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oviedo CB forced 19 Clinicas Rincon turnovers. It was a good game for forward Hector Macia (198-77) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 rebounds. American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (200-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) contributed with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Luis Conde (193-93) answered with 21 points for Clinicas Rincon. Clinicas Rincon's coach Francis Tome rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Oviedo CB have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Oviedo CB keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Guadalajara. Clinicas Rincon at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Oviedo CB is looking forward to face Lan Mobel ISB (#5) in Azpeitia in the next round. Clinicas Rincon will play on the road against Aurteneche M. in Vitoria-Gasteiz and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
LEB Silver top team - CB Guadalajara (10-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked La Palma (3-11) 72-65. It was a great evening for point guard Sergio Llorente (188-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 assists. Jose Balmon helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Samuel Dominguez (204-91) with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted CB Guadalajara maintains first place with 10-3 record, which they share with Oviedo CB. La Palma lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. CB Guadalajara will play against Prat Juventud (#4) at home in the next round. La Palma will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#7) in Avila and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Lan Mobel ISB (7-6) and Palma (5-9), which took place in S'Arenal. Higher ranked Lan Mobel ISB lost to tenth ranked Palma in a road game 71-75 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lan Mobel ISB. It was an exceptional evening for Israel Pampin who led the winners and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guillermo Justo came up with 21 points for Lan Mobel ISB in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Palma moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cafes Aitona. Loser Lan Mobel ISB keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Palma will meet higher ranked Castello (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lan Mobel ISB will play against the league's second-placed Oviedo CB where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
The game between eighth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (6-8) and 9th ranked Cafes Aitona (5-9) in Avila ended with biggest points difference. Fontedoso Carrefour outscored guests from San Sebastian 112-71. The best player for the winners was Antoni Vicens who scored 24 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Fontedoso Carrefour's coach Armando Gomez felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Cafes Aitona keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked La Palma (#11) on the road.

In the last two games of round 15 bottom-ranked La Palma was smashed by Aurteneche M. on the road 90-70. Prat Juventud won against Castello on its own court 67-59.
