The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Ford Burgos (13-3) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (8-8) 85-77. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Ford Burgos. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Nigerian-Dominican point guard Sean Ogirri (188-86, college: Wyoming) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Power forward Josep Ortega (201-84) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds for Ford Burgos. Ford Burgos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leche Rio Breogan are looking forward to face Lobe Huesca (#9) at home in the next round. Ford Burgos will play against Meridiano Alicante (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
