The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Cortegada (11-1) in Vilagarcia Arousa on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Al-Qazeres (9-3) 65-57. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Cortegada. Cortegada trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 14-5 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-65 at the end of the game. Center Alejandra De La De La Fuente (192-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. American Ndidi Madu (185, college: Florida) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Maria Ylenia Manzanares (175-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for Cortegada. Al-Qazeres have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group A with 9-3 record having five points less than leader Pais Vasco. Cortegada at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Al-Qazeres are looking forward to face Maquinaria Ensino (#4) in Lugo in the next round. Cortegada will play on the road against Real Celta Vigo and is hoping to win this game.
LF2 top team - Pais Vasco (12-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Segle XXI (4-10) in San Sebastian 81-61. Point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Onintza Aduriz chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Belen Arrojo (-95) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Segle XXI's coach Ramon Jordana rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pais Vasco have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 12-2 record. Segle XXI at the other side keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Leganes and Tenerife. Pais Vasco will play against Real Canoe (#3) in Madrid in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Segle XXI will play at home against Las Rozas (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Arxil Pontevedra is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to tenth ranked ADBA (4-9) 54-51 on Saturday evening. Amina Njonkou notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Olga Fedorova did not help to save the game for Arxil Pontevedra. Arxil Pontevedra's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADBA moved-up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with Valladolid. Loser Arxil Pontevedra still closes the standings with 13 games lost. ADBA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Arxil Pontevedra will play against Aros Leon (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Ourense was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Real Celta Vigo (5-8) played at the court of eighth ranked Pabellon Ourense (6-7). Pabellon Ourense managed to secure a 6-point victory 59-53. The best player for the winners was Maria Bolonio who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Real Celta Vigo's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pabellon Ourense moved-up to sixth place in Group A. Real Celta Vigo at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Pabellon Ourense's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Universitario de Ferrol on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Real Celta Vigo will play against the league's leader Cortegada (#1) in Vilagarcia Arousa.
The game in Logrono was also quite interesting. Second ranked Casablanca (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Las Gaunas (6-8). Casablanca managed to secure a 6-point victory 73-67 on Saturday. Estela Royo orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Casablanca have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 11-3 record behind leader Pais Vasco. Loser Las Gaunas keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Casablanca will face Orion-GDKO (#4) in Galdakao in the next round. Las Gaunas will play on the road against ASEFA Estudiantes in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14:
In Group A Oviedo was beaten by Aros Leon on the road 67-52. Valladolid lost to Ferrol on its own court 69-80.
In Group B Real Canoe managed to outperform Leganes in Madrid 55-51. Las Rozas recorded a loss to Alcobendas at home 48-55. Tenerife was defeated by Orion-GDKO on the opponent's court 70-55. Gernika smashed Asefa Estud. in a home game 78-55.

Group A
ADBA - Arxil Pontev. 54-51

Bottom-ranked Arxil Pontevedra is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to tenth ranked ADBA (4-9) 54-51 on Saturday evening. ADBA dominated on the defensive end, holding Arxil Pontevedra to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Arxil Pontevedra 45-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Cameroonian forward Amina Njonkou (185-88, college: Arizona) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Anna Boleda (181-81) supported her with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Russian center Olga Fedorova (189-78) did not help to save the game for Arxil Pontevedra. point guard Carla Fernandez (168-89) added 9 points and 4 assists for the guests. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Real Celta Vigo to just 7 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Begona Pallardo (168-92) chipped in 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. point guard Marina Delgado (174-92) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and guard Noelia Oliva (175-88) added 12 points respectively for the guests. No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Aros Leon (8-5) beat at home 7th ranked Oviedo (5-8) 67-52 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-52. Aros Leon outrebounded Oviedo 49-21 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Patricia Benet-edo orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Natalia Lopez (171-93) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Lara Fernandez (-87) replied with 10 points and Sara Fernandez Alvarez (-87) added 13 points in the effort for Oviedo. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aros Leon maintains fifth position in Group A with 8-5 record. Very expected game when 9th ranked Universidad de Valladolid (4-9) lost at home to second ranked Universitario de Ferrol (10-3) 80-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Universitario de Ferrol. Universidad de Valladolid was better in second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Universitario de Ferrol especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 78.6 percentage. Forward Raquel Asensio (178-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. American guard Olivia Lett (182-90, college: Illinois Wesleyan) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Universitario de Ferrol players scored in double figures. Universitario de Ferrol's coach Lino Lopez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Maria Parro (183-85) replied with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Cristina Salinas (162-93) added 21 points and 4 steals in the effort for Universidad de Valladolid. American center Shannon Thomas (193-90, college: Indiana St.) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Paula Dominguez added 10 points in the effort for Las Rozas.
