Meridiano Alicante (#4) forced the game against Ford Burgos (#2) into an overtime, but lost by three points 66-69 on Sunday night. The game took place in Alicante. But the guests from Burgos were better at the end. Lucas Sikma stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ford Burgos maintains second place with 14-3 record behind leader Andorra. Meridiano Alicante at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Ford Burgos will face bottom-ranked Melilla Baloncesto (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Meridiano Alicante will play against Lobe Huesca (#10) and be promoted back to the ACB just one year after relegation.

In the last two games of round 17 FCB Regal II lost to Ourense on the opponent's court 65-66. Planasa NV managed to outperform Caceres in a home game 71-67. Lobe Huesca recorded a loss to Breogan on the road 63-49. Bottom-ranked Melilla was defeated by Andorra on its own court 72-79. Palencia beat Forca Lleida in a road game 75-74. Coruna won against Clavijo at home 69-55.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 6 assists by Albert Sabat of Lucentum.

There was an upset when higher ranked FCB Regal II (7-10) was edged on the road by thirteenth ranked Ourense (6-11) 66-65 on Friday. Newly promoted Ourense maintains thirteenth place with 6-11 record. FCB Regal II at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Ourense will face league's leader River Andorra on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Leche Rio Breogan outrebounded Lobe Huesca 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American guard Anthony Winchester (193-83, college: W.Kentucky) chipped in 19 points. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-74. Palencia Baloncesto made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Palencia Baloncesto's coach Nacho Lezkano used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
