The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Round 19 most important game was a victory of FCB Regal II over 7th ranked Planasa NV 76-70 on Friday night. Planasa NV was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of FCB Regal II, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian swingman Mario Hezonja (202-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. point guard Joan Creus (185-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Czech center Ondrej Starosta (215-79) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for Planasa NV. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FCB Regal II (9-10) moved-up to sixth place. Planasa NV at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. FCB Regal II are looking forward to face higher ranked Palencia Baloncesto (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Planasa NV will play against the league's leader River Andorra and is hoping to win this game.
Sixth-ranked CB Clavijo (8-11) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Palencia Baloncesto (12-7). Palencia Baloncesto managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for swingman Carles Bravo (193-79) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Cristopher Mortellaro helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Latvian forward Mareks Mejeris (208-91, agency: Players Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. CB Clavijo's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Palencia Baloncesto moved-up to third place, which they share with Lucentum. CB Clavijo at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Palencia Baloncesto will play against FCB Regal II (#6) in Barcelona in the next round. CB Clavijo will play at home against Caceres Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Ford Burgos (15-4) against thirteenth ranked Ourense (7-12) on Friday night. Visiting Ford Burgos was defeated by Ourense in a tough game in Ourense 68-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ford Burgos. It was an exceptional evening for Andy Ogide who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Lucas Sikma came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Ford Burgos in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ourense moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Coruna. Loser Ford Burgos keeps the second position with four games lost. Ourense will meet higher ranked Lobe Huesca (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ford Burgos will play against Leyma Basquet (#13) in Coruna and hope to secure a win.
LEB Gold top team - River Andorra (17-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Leyma Basquet (7-12) in Coruna 71-57. Dmitry Flis fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. River Andorra have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted River Andorra maintains first place with 17-2 record. Leyma Basquet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. River Andorra's next round opponent will be Planasa NV (#11) in Pamplona and are hoping to win another game. Leyma Basquet will play on the road against the league's second-placed Ford Burgos.

It was a very good performance for Lluis Costa who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Lobe Huesca's coach Quim Costa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lobe Huesca moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Melilla Baloncesto lost their fourth game in a row. Loser Melilla Baloncesto stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Lobe Huesca will face Ourense (#12) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo.

In the last two games of round 19 Breogan was beaten by Lucentum on the road 70-60. Forca Lleida won against Caceres on its own court 83-70.


Coruna - Andorra 57-71

LEB Gold top team - River Andorra (17-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Leyma Basquet (7-12) in Coruna 71-57. The game was mostly controlled by River Andorra. Leyma Basquet was better in second period 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Leyma Basquet helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Naturalized Russian power forward Dmitry Flis (203-84) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marc Blanch (194-82) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. Center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and Ivorian-American forward Jonathan Kale (203-85, college: Providence) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Meridiano Alicante's (12-7) home victory over 5th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (10-9) 70-60 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Meridiano Alicante. Leche Rio Breogan was better in third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for American forward Taylor Coppenrath (205-81, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Jesus Fernandez (204-75) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Meridiano Alicante's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Anthony Winchester (193-83, college: W.Kentucky) added 12 points in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Caceres Basket (8-11) lost on the road to tenth ranked Lleida Basquet (8-11) 83-70 on Friday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Lleida Basquet's pressure prevailed and they won that period 20-13 extending their advantage to 13 points. Quite impressive performance for forward Miguel Feliu (200-85) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Sergi Pino (196-87) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. Australian-Dutch power forward Josh Duinker (210-89, college: Richmond) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Nigerian-Canadian forward Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) added 12 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Caceres Basket. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lleida Basquet moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Caceres Basket. Lleida Basquet will face higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
