Sergio Llull
ACB top team - Real Madrid (21-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (6-16) 88-65. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 23 points. 24 personal fouls committed by Baloncesto Fuenlabrada helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International Sergio Llull (192-87) scored 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international Rudy Fernandez (198-85) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) responded with 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-1 record. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 16 games lost. Real Madrid are looking forward to face UCAM Murcia (#12) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will play against FIATC Joventut (#9) in Badalona and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
The game in Zaragoza was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Valencia Basket (13-9) played at the court of seventh ranked CAI Zaragoza (13-9). CAI Zaragoza defeated Valencia Basket 76-62. Dutch center Henk Norel (214-87) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Sam Van Rossom supported him with 17 points. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Valencia Basket. Valencia Basket's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CAI Zaragoza moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valencia and G.Canaria 2014. CAI Zaragoza will play against Blusens Monbus (#11) in Santoago de Comp in the next round where they are favorite. Valencia Basket will play at home against Cajasol (#14) in Sevilla and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game took place in Sevilla where higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (12-10) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Cajasol (8-14) 86-78 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Asefa Estudiantes. John Holland fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Kyle Kuric produced 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Cajasol moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Blancos de R. Asefa Estudiantes at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Cajasol will meet higher ranked Valencia Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Asefa Estudiantes will play against Blancos de Rueda in Valladolid and hope to secure a win.
An interesting game took place in Tenerife where 10th ranked Blusens Monbus (10-12) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked CB Canarias (9-13) 84-77. Worth to mention a great performance of Ricardo Uriz who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted CB Canarias maintains thirteenth position with 9-13 record. Blusens Monbus at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. CB Canarias' next round opponent will be higher ranked G.Canaria 2014 (#6) in Las Palmas and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 22: FIATC Joventut won against Assignia M. on the opponent's court 92-88. UCAM Murcia lost to defending champion FCB Regal in a home game 62-79. G.Canaria 2014 recorded a loss to Caja Laboral on the road 74-85. Blancos de R. was defeated by Unicaja on its own court 84-89. Bottom-ranked Lagun Aro GBC was smashed by Gescrap BB in Bilbao 91-72.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 34 points (!!!) by Troy DeVries of Assignia M..

Assignia M. - FIATC Joventut 88-92

Very expected game when 17th ranked Assignia Manresa (4-18) was defeated at home by ninth ranked FIATC Joventut (11-11) 92-88.
