The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Third-ranked Regal FC Barcelona (14-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Caja Laboral (19-4) on Sunday. The visitors from Vitoria managed to secure only two-point victory 69-67. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Regal FC Barcelona. Caja Laboral made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) who scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. French Fabien Causeur (193-87) chipped in 18 points. Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87) produced 9 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Regal FC Barcelona's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Caja Laboral maintains second place with 19-4 record having just three points less than leader Real Madrid. Defending champion Regal FC Barcelona keeps the third position with nine games lost. They share it with G.Canaria 2014 and Gescrap BB. Caja Laboral are looking forward to face league's leader Real Madrid at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Regal FC Barcelona will play against CB Canarias in Tenerife and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Lagun Aro GBC managed to get a fifth victory. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Assignia Manresa in San Sebastian 94-90. American guard Morris Finley (180-81, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. David Doblas contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) answered with 22 points for Assignia Manresa. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lagun Aro GBC (5-18) moved-up to seventeenth place. Assignia Manresa lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. Lagun Aro GBC will play against higher ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#16) in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Assignia Manresa will play at home against Unicaja Malaga and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Leader Real Madrid delivered the twentieth second victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 12th ranked UCAM Murcia (10-13) 86-69. It was a great evening for Nikola Mirotic who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kim Tillie responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Real Madrid (22-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. UCAM Murcia at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Real Madrid will meet league's second-placed Caja Laboral in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UCAM Murcia will play against FIATC Joventut (#9) in Badalona and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Madrid. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Asefa Estudiantes (12-11) to fifteenth ranked Blancos de Rueda (9-14) 80-77 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Nacho Martin who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Asefa Estudiantes' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with CB Canarias and Cajasol. Asefa Estudiantes at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Blancos de Rueda's next round opponent will be higher ranked Gescrap BB (#4) in Bilbao and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Santoago de Comp, where higher ranked CAI Zaragoza (13-10) lost to eleventh ranked Blusens Monbus (11-12) in a road game 64-72 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CAI Zaragoza. The best player for the winners was Levon Kendall who scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Blusens Monbus' coach Moncho Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Blusens Monbus moved-up to ninth place, which they share with FIATC Joventut and Unicaja. Loser CAI Zaragoza keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Blusens Monbus will face Cajasol (#14) in Sevilla in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.

Other games of round 23 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
