   #1. This week's number one is an international center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston, currently plays in Turkey). Lyttle was the major contributor in Galatasaray's victory against the tenth-ranked Canik Bld (8-13) crushing them 67-39 in the Turkish TKBL last Saturday. She scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (18-3) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Lyttle has relatively good stats this season: 11.0ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.8apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 48.7%, 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 67.9%. She has a dual citizenship: Vincentian and Spanish. Ex-EBE Promociones P.D.V. Santa Eulalia player is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Alba Torrens (188-89, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sancho Lyttle. But that was another game of her team in Turkish TKBL which we would like to mention. Torrens led Galatasaray to a victory over the ninth-ranked Botas (10-11) crushing them 73-50. She was MVP of the game. Torrens scored 15 points and added 4 passes in 20 minutes. Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (18-3) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This year Torrens has relatively solid stats: 13.4ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.3apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 51.0%, 3FGP: 45.0% and FT: 75.0% in the seven games she played so far. She played for the Spanish national team in 2011.

   #3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Silvia Dominguez (166-87, currently plays in Russia). Dominguez contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Dynamo Moscow (10-5) crushing them 78-58 in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game. She recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. UMMC Ekaterinburg (14-1) is placed first in the PBL. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Dominguez's first season with the team. Dominguez is ranked second on the list of the best passers in the league. This season she averages: 6.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.8apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(16-27), 3FGP: 41.4%. Dominguez played for the Spanish national team two years ago.

   #4. Center Cindy Lima (196-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Piestanske Cajky (2-10) crushing them 92-68 in the Hungarian A Division last Wednesday. She scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was his first game for UNI Gyor this season. Her team is placed fourth in MEL group. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Lima is also Spanish national team player.

   #5. Former U20 international guard Gabriela Ocete (170-88, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Tarbes (12-9) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite her good performance Tarbes was defeated 61-48 at home by the second-ranked Bourges. Ocete was the top scorer with 14 points. She also added 4 rebounds. Ocete's overall stats this season are: 6.7ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg. She used to play for the Spanish U20 national team five years ago.

   #6. Point guard Nuria Martinez (175-84, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Kayseri (16-5) in their game against Antakya (10-11) in the Turkish TKBL. Martinez scored 7 points. Kayseri was defeated 76-70 on the road by the lower-ranked Antakya (#8). Martinez's overall stats this season are: 7.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg. She is a former international player as she played for the Spanish senior team three years ago.

   #7. An experienced international guard Laia Palau (176-79, currently plays in Poland) managed to help CCC Polkowice in a victory against the eighth-ranked Widzew (3-15) crushing them 91-46 in the Polish PLKK on Sunday night. Palau scored only 2 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 19 minutes. CCC Polkowice (17-1) is placed first in the PLKK. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Palau belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #2 with 5.6apg. This year her other stats are: 5.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.0spg in the 21 games. Palau is also Spanish national team player.

   #8. Center Celia Menendez (188-90, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for R.Spirou Monceau (7-14) in their game against Castors Braine (13-8) in the Belgian Division I. Despite her very good performance on Saturday night Menendez was the second best scorer with 14 points. She also added 6 rebounds. Menendez's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Menendez has reliable stats this season: 10.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.3spg. She used to play for the Spanish U20 national team back in 2010.

   #9. International forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, also represented by Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in France) couldn't help Basket Landes (11-10) in their game against Bourges (17-4) in the French LFB. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Abalde scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Basket Landes was defeated 70-58 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Bourges. Abalde's overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg and 2.9rpg. She is also in the roster of the Spanish national team.


The list of other players, who all have Spanish passport but never been selected to any of Spanish national teams:

   #1. Natasha Lacy (178-PG-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: UTEP, currently plays in Hungary) led Good Angels to a victory over the sixth-ranked PEAC-PECS (3-9) 61-45 in the Hungarian A Division in Saturday night's game. She was MVP of the game. Lacy scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. Good Angels Kosice (11-0) is placed first in MEL group. So far her team won all eleven games in the Second Stage. There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's Lacy's first season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.5spg in the two games she played so far.

   #2. Sandra Ygueravide (172-PG-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in France) contributed to a double overtime (!!!) Aix-en-Provence's victory against the closely-ranked Toulouse (9-12) 91-90 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game. Ygueravide scored 20 points and added 8 assists in 46 minutes. Pays d'Aix Basket 13 Provence (9-12) is placed tenth in the LFB. Ygueravide has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 19.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 6.0apg and 2.0spg in the two games.

   #3. Laura Garcia (176-G-81, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Union Hainaut (5-16) in their last game on Friday. Despite her good performance the bottom-ranked Union Hainaut was defeated 60-55 at home by the much higher-ranked Nantes Reze (#7). Garcia scored 11 points. Garcia's overall stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg.

   #4. Experienced Valentina Aragonese (173-F-79, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Ancona's victory against the 12th-ranked College Italia (2-19) 72-55 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Saturday. She scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 22 minutes. Free Woman Ancona (13-9) is placed sixth in South group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Aragonese has reliable stats this year: 10.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.9apg and 1.6spg in the 22 games. She has a dual citizenship: Chilean and Spanish.

   #5. Lorena Infantes (171-PG-81, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Canik Bld (8-13) in their game against Galatasaray (18-3) in the Turkish TKBL. Infantes was the second best scorer with 7 points. She also added 4 assists in 31 minutes. Canik Bld was crushed 67-39 on their home court in Samsun by the second-ranked Galatasaray. This year Infantes' overall stats are: 7.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 5.3apg and 1.2spg in the six games.

Guard Leonor Rodriguez Manso (180-G-91) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Girona and that's her to receive a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 19. The 25-year old guard had the game-high 20 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Girona in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Zamarat (#12, 6-13) with 27-point margin 88-61. Guard Paula Palomares (174-G-84) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Alcobendas, receiving a Court Side LF2 Player of the Week award for round 19. The 32-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Rivas Promete (#6, 11-8) 79-70. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Salamanca. First ranked Perfumerias Avenida faced 3rd placed Gernika. Host Perfumerias Avenida (18-1) defeated guests from Gernika (13-6) 71-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gernika.
