The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Sodertalje Kings as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sodertalje Kings smashed second-best LF Basket at home 92-73. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Sodertalje Kings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American point guard Johnell Smith (185-80, college: New Orleans, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who scored 26 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Lithuanian forward Mantas Griskenas (200-85, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Keith Ramsey (205-87, college: Missouri, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Boras. LF Basket at the other side dropped to the third place with nine games lost. They share the position with Norrkoping. LF Basket will play next round against Eco Orebro trying to get back on the winning streak. Sodertalje Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.

It was a good game for American guard Andrew Mitchell (181-79, college: Kent St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Petras Balocka contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Paul Burke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) replied with 20 points for Eco Orebro. Defending champion maintains third position with 14-9 record behind leader Sodertalje, which they share with LF Basket. Eco Orebro at the other side still closes the standings. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against LF Basket (#4) in Lulea in the next round. Eco Orebro will play at home against LF Basket (#4) in Lulea and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Solna supposed to be also quite interesting. 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (12-11) played at the court of eighth ranked Solna Vikings (12-11). Solna Vikings smashed 08 Stockholm 102-78 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 08 Stockholm. Worth to mention a great performance of William Walker who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Solna Vikings' coach Torbjorn Gehrke felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Helgi Magnusson with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Solna Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 08. Solna Vikings will meet KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play against Uppsala Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Sundsvall was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Sodertalje Kings (15-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Sundsvall Dragons (13-11). Sodertalje Kings managed to secure a 6-point victory 84-78. The winners were led by Kenneth Simms who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sodertalje Kings keep a position of league leader, which they share with Boras. Sundsvall Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.



Solna - 08 102-78

The game in Solna supposed to be also quite interesting. 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (12-11) played at the court of eighth ranked Solna Vikings (12-11). Solna Vikings smashed 08 Stockholm 102-78 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 08 Stockholm. The game without a history. Solna Vikings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to 08 Stockholm's 40 and made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They outrebounded 08 Stockholm 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward William Walker (201-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and Bulgarian center Krum Doychinov (206-86, agency: Interperformances) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Solna Vikings' coach Torbjorn Gehrke felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Icelandic swingman Helgi Magnusson (198-82, college: Catawba) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Solna Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 08. Solna Vikings will meet KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play against Uppsala Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 27-20 Sundsvall Dragons' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 84-78 at the end of the game. The winners were led by American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Mantas Griskenas (200-85, college: Wichita St.) supported him with 18 points.
