Christopher
McKnight
24-year old forward Christopher McKnight (201-F-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for Boras and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 27.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Uppsala (#7, 14-13) with 34-point margin 107-73. Boras maintains the 3rd position in Swedish league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Boras will need more victories to improve their 16-11 record. In the team's last game McKnight had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Boras and it's hard to imagine this team without him. The University of Akron graduate has very impressive stats this year. McKnight is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.1rpg) and averages solid 57.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dino Gregory (200-F-89) of Sundsvall. He is American forward in his first season at Sundsvall. In the last game Gregory recorded impressive 23 points and 7 rebounds. Of course Sundsvall cruised to a 97-87 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked LF Basket (#5, 14-11). This victory allowed Sundsvall to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 14-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gregory is a newcomer at Sundsvall and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Pierre Hampton (198-F-91) of Eco Orebro (#10). Hampton scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Hampton's great performance Eco Orebro lost 74-83 to the higher-ranked Solna (#4, 15-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Eco Orebro can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-25 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Hampton he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Hampton has a very solid season. In 22 games in Sweden he scored 10.1ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Johnell Smith (185-PG-80) of Sodertalje - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Jonte Flowers (196-F/G-85) of Solna - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Michael Palm (208-C-79) of Boras - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jakob Sigurdarson (192-G-82) of Sundsvall - 27 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Anton Saks (200-G-89) of Norrkoping - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Jason Stamper (200-F/C-85) of Jamtland - 19 points and 13 rebounds
10. Martin Pahlmblad (193-G-86) of LF Basket - 30 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
