Sweden overcame Norway for the second win at the Four Nations international tournament in Cyprus. Christian Maraker (206-F-82, college: Pacific) came up with 17 points, 11 boards and 4 assists to lead the winners. Sweden finished at 2-1 record, while Norway slipped at 1-2.
Sweden started strongly as they posted a 21:12 lead after ten minutes. Sweden boosted the margin in the second quarter. They ensured a 45:30 halftime lead. Sweden stayed in charge throughout the third term. They accounted for a 64:46 lead at the final intermission. Sweden maintained the margin throughout the final stanza claiming a well-deserved win at the end. Dino Pita (192-G-88) posted 13 points, while Johan Jeansson (197-F/G-85) contributed 11 points for the winners. Anders Stien (195-G-90) had 16 points for Norway. Stian Mjos (182-PG-89) finished with 12 points in the loss.

Wetterbygden Highland Huskvarna (D2) signed 23-year old Spaniard guard Guim Exposito (197-94). He played last season at Casvi in Spanish EBA league. In 31 games he had 9.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.4apg and 2.1spg. The most of previous (2015-16) season Exposito spent at Sant Nicolau (also in EBA) where in 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.1apg and 2.1spg. Norrkoping Dolphins (Basketligan) re-signed 19-year old point guard Felix Terins (166-98). He has played there for the last two seasons. But in 20 Basketligan games he averaged just 1.4ppg last season. Terins helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Norrkoping Dolphins (Basketligan) confirmed in their roster 16-year old forward Hugo Waldeck (202-1). He played there last season. But in 5 Basketligan games he did not score anything and had only 2 rebounds. Waldeck's team was regular season runner-up in Swedish Basketligan. He is a member of Swedish U16 National Team.
