Sweden improved to 2-2 record in Group B of the EuroBasket Qualification Round. The door to EuroBasket 2013 hasn't slammed shut for Sweden after 111:74 win over Luxembourg.
Sweden easily took 27:13 after the first period and added 28-24 in the second frame. The Scandinavian team did not slow down in the second half and produced also two victories. They came up with 31-16 in the third period and finished the game with 25-21 in the lasts stanza. Person made two free throws for 104:70, while Alexander Lindqvist (203-F-91) and Rush made it 108:72. Anton Saks (200-SF-89) nailed three for the final result in the game.
Anton Saks stepped up with 16 points for the winners and Christian Maraker (206-PF-82, college: Pacific) as well as Jonas Jerebko (206-PF-87) had 14 each. Kenny Grant (188-G-82, college: Davidson) and Alexander Lindqvist followed them with 13 points apiece. Christopher Jones (186-G-90) replied with 17 points in the losing effort and Samy Picard (196-PF-88) delivered 14. Martin Rajniak (205-PF-78, college: CSU Bakersfield) netted 11 and Tom Schumacher (189-PG-87, college: Cal.Baptist) posted 10.

Boras Basket (Basketligan) agreed terms with American forward E.J. Reed (198-91kg). Reed just graduated from LIU Brooklyn (NCAA). As mentioned above Reed is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won NEC Tournament in 2013. Reed was also voted NEC All-Rookie Team back in 2013. Miasto Szkla Krosno (TBL) has agreed on terms with 25-year old Chris Czerapowicz (201-91kg-91). He has played for the last two years at Sodertalje Kings in Swedish Basketligan. In 41 games he averaged 12.6ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.0apg last season. Czerapowicz helped them to win the league title.
