Sweden clinched the third win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They held off visiting Bulgaria for 3-2 record in Group B. Kenny Grant (188-G-82, college: Davidson) stepped up with 19 points for the hosts. Bulgaria fell at 2-3 record after the defeat.
Sweden jumped to a 23:19 lead after ten minutes. The hosts unloaded 26 points in the second quarter to build a 10-point halftime lead 49:39. Bulgaria however changed the complexion of the encounter in the third term. They used a 10:2 run late in the stanza to narrow the gap at just 2-point mark 60:62. The Scandinavian side needed an 11:0 run midway through the final frame to restore a safe cushion 80:66. The hosts never looked back afterwards coasting to the victory. Thomas Massamba (185-PG-85) posted 16 points, while Jonas Jerebko (206-PF-87) added 13 points for Sweden. Chavdar Kostov (195-SG-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 20 points for Bulgaria. Hristo Nikolov (200-PF-85) netted 15 points in the loss.

Union Poitiers Basket 86 (ProB) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old Swedish ex-international shooting guard Kenny Grant (188-82, college: Davidson) from Chorale de Roanne Basket. In 34 ProB games in France he had 9.6ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg last season. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Grant's team made it to the French Cup final in 2014. Kataja - Sodertalje 97:58 Kataja made the first confident step towards Basketball Champions League Group stage. They crushed Sodertalje in the Qualifying Round opener. Minas (NBB) agreed terms with 24-year old American guard Darion Rackley (190-77kg-92, college: Jacksonville State). He played last season at Malbas in Swedish Basketligan.
