Johan
Westerlund
Johan Westerlund (191-G/F-84) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Taby and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Basketettan Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old swingman had a double-double of 16 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team crushed Akropol (#4, 2-1) with 18-point margin 86-68. Taby is placed at 2nd position in Swedish Basketettan. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Taby already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Westerlund turned to be Taby's top player in his first season with the team. Westerlund has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.3rpg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 74.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old forward Markus Lenngren (196-F-83) of Hogsbo. Lenngren impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Hogsbo lost that game 87-95 to Malbas (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Lenngren is a newcomer at Hogsbo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.7ppg (#1). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Adnan Karovic (187-G-88) of second-ranked Eos. Karovic got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He was a key player of Eos, leading his team to a 86-71 easy win against #4 ranked Brahe Basket in a game of the week. Eos started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game in South. Karovic turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Karovic has a great season in Sweden. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.7ppg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Egal Saleman (199-F-88) of Umea - 20 points and 7 rebounds
5. Nerijus Strazdauskas (198-F-84) of Hoganas - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Kevin Ukhagbe (200-F-85) of Brahe Basket - 16 points and 16 rebounds
7. Adam Andersson (188-G-91) of Boras II - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Nerijus Strazdauskas (198-F-84) of Hoganas - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. David Hult (204-C-89) of Eos - 20 points and 12 rebounds
10. William Gutenius (205-F/C-92) of Orongo - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
