There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Basketettan took place in Hoganas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Hoganas (3-4) to fourth ranked Boras II (5-2) 100-97 on Saturday evening. Hoganas trailed by 24 points after 3 quarters before a 35-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 97-100 at the end of the game. Boras II made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Hoganas outrebounded Boras II 32-16 including a 21-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Richard Maraker (198-84, college: CS Stanislaus) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mohamed Nefatti (196-84) chipped in 21 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Paulus Barauskas (201-81) with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Boras II moved-up to third place in South. Hoganas at the other side keep the seventh position with four games lost. Boras II are looking forward to face Haga Haninge (#4) on the road in the next round. Hoganas will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in . Seventh ranked Alvik Basket (3-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Solna Branten (2-4) 75-72 on Saturday evening. Guard Olof Jagbeck (188-91) notched 20 points to lead the effort and Anton Juhlin supported him with 11 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds by forward Jesper Eliasson (204-94) did not help to save the game for Solna Branten. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Alvik Basket moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Blackeberg. Solna Branten at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Fryshuset. Alvik Basket will play against higher ranked Akropol (#4) in Spanga in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Solna Branten will play at home against BG Lulea (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Vallingby. 4th ranked host KFUM Blackebergs (3-3) were smashed by top-ranked Taby Basket (7-0) 84-61. The best player for the winners was Jonas Ehlde who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Sebastian Vafors who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Taby Basket have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 7-0 record. Loser KFUM Blackebergs dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Alvik Basket. Taby Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KFUM Blackebergs will play again against the league's leader Taby Basket (#1) and hope to secure a win.
Jarva Devils has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Lulea, where they defeated BG Lulea (1-5) 82-65. It was a good game for Kevin Olofsson who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jarva Devils maintains eleventh position in North with 1-5 record, which they share with defeated BG Lulea. It was BG Lulea's fifth loss in a row. Jarva Devils' next round opponent will be higher ranked KFUM Uppsala (#7) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
Helsingborg has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sanda Basket (0-6) 98-50 on Saturday. Niklas Sellin had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners. Helsingborg (1-5) left bottom position moving up to tenth place in South, which they share with Talje. It was Sanda Basket's sixth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round. Sanda Basket will play at home against the league's leader IK Eos (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6:
In North Jarva Devils lost to LF Future on the opponent's court 75-83. Orongo unfortunately lost to Akropol in a home game 77-89. Fryshuset managed to beat Blackeberg on the road 81-75. Umea crushed Uppsala KFUM on its own court 92-65.
In South Eskilstuna was beaten by Boras II in a road game 75-69. Talje lost to Brahe Basket at home 63-80. Jarfalla lost to undefeated Eos on the opponent's court 93-109. Hogsbo recorded a loss to Eskilstuna in a home game 75-82.



Group North
LF Future - Jarva Devils 83-75

Very expected game in Lulea where 11th ranked Jarva Devils (1-5) were defeated by third ranked LF Future (5-1) 83-75 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-15. But Jarva Devils won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Future forced 24 Jarva Devils turnovers and outrebounded them 48-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) scored 29 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Australian swingman Timothy Kearney (200-86) chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Sermed Hasan (208-91) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Omid Behboudi (191-86) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LF Future moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Umea. Loser Jarva Devils keep the eleventh position with five games lost. LF Future will have a break next round. Jarva Devils will play at home against KFUM Uppsala (#7).

Orongo - Akropol 77-89

Rather predictable result in Sundsvall where sixth ranked Akropol (3-2) defeated 10th ranked Orongo Dragons (2-5) 89-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Akropol. Orongo Dragons was better in third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akropol dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Orongo Dragons' 38. Naturalized Greek guard Christian Koutras (189-88, college: Cuesta JC) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Samuel Desport (183-83) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Tom Liden (202-87) with 17 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward William Gutenius (205-92) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Akropol and four Orongo Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Akropol moved-up to fourth place in North. Orongo Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Akropol will face Alvik Basket (#5) in the next round.

There was an upset in Vallingby where higher ranked KFUM Blackebergs (3-3) were defeated by eleventh ranked Fryshuset (2-4) 81-75 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KFUM Blackebergs won third quarter 29-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized Ugandan guard Kassim Nagwere (187-90) scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Johan Kulin (196-93) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Mikael Walden (198-86) with 19 points and 6 assists and guard Charles Carayol (186-89) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four KFUM Blackebergs players scored in double figures. Fryshuset moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Solna Branten. Jarva Devils has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Lulea, where they defeated BG Lulea (1-5) 82-65. BG Lulea was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 47-28 second half run of Jarva Devils. They also forced 22 BG Lulea turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by BG Lulea helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Kevin Olofsson (-92) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 steals. Tommy Kaya (-84) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. No shocking result in a game when third ranked Brahe Basket (5-1) won against on the road 10th ranked Talje Knights (1-5) 80-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Brahe Basket. Talje Knights was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Talje Knights to just 6 points in first quarter. Brahe Basket forced 19 Talje Knights turnovers. Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) scored 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tanju Yulman (186-90) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Brahe Basket's coach Demetrius Poles used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Alexander Larsson (203-95) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Mario Blazevic (180-93) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Brahe Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South. Talje Knights lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Brahe Basket will face Malbas (#6) in Malmo in the next round.

Eos - Jarfalla 109-93

Very expected game in Lund where 8th ranked Jarfalla (2-3) was defeated by top-ranked IK Eos (5-0) 109-93 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 109-93. IK Eos made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. IK Eos looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Jarfalla's players. Guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) scored 26 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Gustav Nystrom (189-89, college: Hope) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Jean Alix (200-79) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and guard Marco Catrinin (192-93) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. IK Eos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Jarfalla keeps the eighth place with three games lost. IK Eos will face Sanda Basket (#12) in Huskvarna in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jarfalla will play at home against Hogsbo (#9) in Goteborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Basketettan took place in Hoganas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Hoganas (3-4) to fourth ranked Boras II (5-2) 100-97 on Saturday evening. Hoganas trailed by 24 points after 3 quarters before a 35-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 97-100 at the end of the game. Boras II made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Hoganas outrebounded Boras II 32-16 including a 21-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Richard Maraker (198-84, college: CS Stanislaus) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mohamed Nefatti (196-84) chipped in 21 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Paulus Barauskas (201-81) with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian swingman Aurimas Baltrokonis (190-83) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras II moved-up to third place in South. Hoganas at the other side keep the seventh position with four games lost. Boras II are looking forward to face Haga Haninge (#4) on the road in the next round. Hoganas will have a break next round.

Helsingborg has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sanda Basket (0-6) 98-50 on Saturday. The game without a history. Helsingborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 20. Helsingborg forced 22 Sanda Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 50-19 including a 23-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Kosovan forward Gazmend Sinani (203-91) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Alexander Russom (191-95) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Niklas Holmstrom-Forster (178-94) scored 9 points. Helsingborg (1-5) left bottom position moving up to tenth place in South, which they share with Talje. It was Sanda Basket's sixth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round. Sanda Basket will play at home against the league's leader IK Eos (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Spanish forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) scored 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Daniel Urban (198-88) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks during the contest. Eskilstuna's coach Peter Oksman used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Markus Lenngren (196-83) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Spanish forward Jose Alberto Garcia (192-87) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds.
