Jamtland has had a terrible start to the season and are in 2nd to last place in the league. Coach Dennis Aulander resigned last week, and left Doremus Bennerman in charge temporarily until a new head coach had been found. The club is now agreeing with coach Mathias Eckhoff to come back to coach the team for a third time (2008 and 2010 previously), Doremus Bennerman will stay on the coachingstaff but as an assistant coach to Eckhoff.
The club also made the decision to release portugese national team PG Mario Fernandes (176-PG-82) who has been a huge, maybe the biggest in the league, disappointment through the first 12 games of the season - and even lost his starting five position since coach Aulander left. Team signed National Team player Johan Pierre a few weeks back and expect him to be able to replace Fernandes on the court.

Yesterday the Swedish Federation announced that two out of the leagues twelve teams have not been approved as members of Basketligan 2013-2014. Both 08 Stockholm Human Rights and Stockholm Eagles have been kicked out of the league due to various reasons. 08 Stockholm is kicked out because their organisation doesn't meet the standards of Basketligan, and Stockholm Eagles have not handled paperworks with work permits and staying permits for their american players correctly, and the federation have found that the club have debts. The league next year will now be played with 10 teams instead of 12.
