The game between second ranked Boras Basket (9-4) and fifth ranked Uppsala Basket (8-4) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Boras Basket was defeated by Uppsala Basket in Boras 93-78. The game without a history. Uppsala Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Uppsala Basket outrebounded Boras Basket 44-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international Johan Jeansson (198-85) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Uppsala Basket's coach Kelly Grant used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Uppsala Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Norrkoping. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Uppsala Basket is looking forward to face KFUM Jamtland (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boras Basket will play against Eco Orebro (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
Basketligan top team - Sundsvall Dragons (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Eco Orebro (3-10) 108-82. American guard Alex Wesby (198-80, college: Temple, agency: R.H.Consultancy) nailed 23 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Jakob Sigurdarson accounted for 23 points and 4 assists. Sundsvall Dragons' coach Peter Oqvist felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Darris Santee (203-87, college: UNLV) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds for Eco Orebro in the defeat. Sundsvall Dragons have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Eco Orebro lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Jamtland. Sundsvall Dragons will play against White Eagles (#9) in Stockholm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eco Orebro will play at home against the league's second-placed Boras Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Eighth ranked LF Basket (6-6) crushed at home 12th ranked Nassjo (2-11) by 40 points 98-58, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. Esian Henderson fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Mathias Liljeqvist produced 15 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LF Basket maintains eighth place with 6-6 record. Newly promoted Nassjo stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. LF Basket will meet higher ranked 08 Stockholm (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nassjo will play against Sodertalje Kings (#5) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: Solna won against Sodertalje on the opponent's court 86-80. Jamtland unfortunately lost to 08 in a home game 75-79. Norrkoping managed to beat Eagles on the road 61-50.


Sodertalje - Solna 80-86

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Sodertalje Kings (7-4) were defeated at home by seventh ranked Solna Vikings (7-6) 86-80 on Saturday. Sodertalje Kings were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Solna Vikings made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Solna Vikings outrebounded Sodertalje Kings 34-20 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Donald Johnson (201, college: CSU Bakersfield) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 16 points (made all of his seven free throws). American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Tobias Borg (183-93) added 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Solna Vikings maintains seventh place with 7-6 record. Loser Sodertalje Kings keep the fifth position with four games lost. Solna Vikings will meet higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sodertalje Kings will play against Nassjo and hope to secure a win.

Very predictable result when sixth ranked 08 Stockholm (7-5) defeated on the road 11th ranked KFUM Jamtland (3-10) 79-75 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-75. 08 Stockholm shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Guard Nils Hedstrom (190-83) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) for the winners. The former international guard Olivier Ilunga (185-84) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four 08 Stockholm players scored in double figures. American guard Darryl Hudson (195-85, college: Howard) produced 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and forward Johan Ronstrom (204-89) added 17 points respectively for lost side. 08 Stockholm maintains sixth place with 7-5 record. KFUM Jamtland lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Eco Orebro. 08 Stockholm will meet at home LF Basket (#8) in the next round. KFUM Jamtland will play against Uppsala Basket and hope to secure a win.

Not a big story in a game in Stockholm where 9th ranked White Eagles (4-9) were defeated by fifth ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (8-4) 61-50 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Norrkoping Dolphins. White Eagles managed to win third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding White Eagles to just 6 points in first quarter. Icelandic guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American-British forward Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Serkan Inan (198-86) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian guard Nenad Stefanovic (193-85, agency: Beo Basket) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side.
