We bring you last week's top performances from Swedish players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Jeffery Taylor
Jeffery Taylor
#1. This week's number one is former U20 international forward Jeffery Taylor (200-89, college: Vanderbilt, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Charlotte Bobcats (7-5) in their last game. Despite Taylor's very good performance the Charlotte Bobcats lost 91-101 on the road to the Atlanta Hawks. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Taylor also added 3 steals in 36 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Taylor's first year with the team. Taylor has relatively good stats this season: 7.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 36.0% and FT: 75.0% in the 11 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Taylor played for the Swedish U20 national team four years ago. Strangely he has never played in Sweden.

Erik Rush
Erik Rush
#2. Second place goes to an international small forward Erik Rush (196-88, college: Montana St., currently plays in Italy). Rush contributed to a 1-point Cimberio Varese's victory against the closely-ranked Banco di Sardegna Sassari (6-2) 85-84 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 9 points in only 12 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cimberio Varese (8-0) is placed first in the SerieA. So far his team won all eight games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Rush's first year with the team. This season Rush averages: 3.1ppg, 1.3rpg, 2FGP: 16.7% in the seven games. He is a naturalized American. Rush is in the roster of the Swedish senior national team. Apparently he has never played in Sweden.

Thomas Massamba
Thomas Massamba
#3. The Swedish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Thomas Massamba (185-85, currently plays in Bulgaria). Massamba managed to help Lukoil Academik Sofia to win against the sixth-ranked Chernomorets (3-3) crushing them 121-61 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. He scored 5 points and added 6 passes. Lukoil Academik Sofia (6-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Massamba's first season with the team. Massamba's overall stats this year are: 4.2ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.7apg, 3FGP: 14.3% and FT: 71.4%. He is also a member of the Swedish senior national team.

Brice Massamba

Kjellbom scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. Armia lost 69-80 in a derby game to the leading MIA. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. Kjellbom is currently fifth on the list of best blockers with 1.0bpg. He also averaged so far 9.0ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.6spg in the five games. Kjellbom plays currently for the Swedish national team.

He recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Panasonic Trians (10-6) are placed third in the JBL. Maraker's overall stats this season are: 4.3ppg and 5.1rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Swedish National Team roster.

Kenny Grant
Kenny Grant
#7. International guard Kenny Grant (188-82, college: Davidson, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in France was not able to secure a victory for Sluc Nancy (1-2) in their last game. Despite Grant's good performance the third-placed Sluc Nancy lost 71-78 on the opponent's court to the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk in the group G of EuroChallenge. He was the second best scorer with 11 points in a mere 18 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Grant's overall stats are: 4.7ppg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg in the three games. He is also Swedish national team player.

Jonas Jerebko
Jonas Jerebko
#8. Power forward Jonas Jerebko (206-87, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Detroit Pistons (3-10) in their game against the Orlando Magic (5-7) in the NBA. Jerebko cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Detroit Pistons were badly defeated 90-74 in Orlando by the Magic. Jerebko has been at the team for four years. Jerebko's total stats this season are: 5.8ppg and 2.9rpg. He is a naturalized American. Jerebko plays currently for the Swedish national team.
