Here is the weekly review of the top performing Swedish players, who play currently abroad.

Jeffery Taylor
Jeffery Taylor
#1. This week's number one is former U20 international forward Jeffery Taylor (200-89, college: Vanderbilt, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. Taylor could not help the Charlotte Bobcats (7-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the Charlotte Bobcats were defeated 104-98 on the road by the Philadelphia 76ers. Taylor was the second best scorer with 16 points. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Taylor has relatively good stats this year: 8.1ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 46.7% and FT: 75.0%. He is a naturalized American. Taylor played for the Swedish U20 national team four years ago. Strangely he has never played in Sweden.

Erik Rush
Erik Rush
#2. Second place goes to an international small forward Erik Rush (196-88, college: Montana St., currently plays in Italy). Rush contributed to a Cimberio Varese's victory against the fifth-ranked Trenkwalder RE (5-4) 91-78 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. Cimberio Varese (9-0) is placed first in the SerieA. So far his team won all nine games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Rush averages: 3.8ppg, 1.6rpg, 2FGP: 28.6%, 3FGP: 53.8%(7-13) and FT: 62.5% in the eight games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Rush is in the roster of the Swedish senior national team. Apparently he has never played in Sweden.

Brice Massamba
Brice Massamba
#3. The Swedish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Brice Massamba (208-88, college: UNLV, currently plays in Balkan League). Massamba led his Croatian team Djuro Djakovic to a victory over the closely-ranked Mornar Bar (1-5) 70-63 in the Balkan League in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Massamba recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. KK Djuro Djakovic Slavonski Brod (2-4) is placed fourth in the Balkan League. Massamba's team will play only one more game in the Balkan League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Massamba's first year with the team. This season he has relatively solid stats: 12.8ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 66.7%(26-39) and FT: 54.5%. Massamba has a dual citizenship: Swedish and DR Congolese. He is also a member of the Swedish senior national team.

Kenny Grant
Kenny Grant
#4. Guard Kenny Grant (188-82, college: Davidson, currently plays in EuroChallenge) was the main contributor in a Sluc Nancy's victory against the closely-ranked Apollon (1-3) 87-69 in the EuroChallenge last Tuesday. Grant was the best player in that game. He recorded 16 points in 23 minutes. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (2-2) is placed third in group G. There are only two games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Grant's overall stats are: 7.5ppg and 1.5apg in the four games. He is also Swedish national team player.

Thomas Massamba
Thomas Massamba

International point guard Thomas Massamba (185-85, currently plays in Bulgaria) managed to help Lukoil Academik Sofia to win against the seventh-ranked Chernomorets (3-4) crushing them 121-61 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Massamba scored 5 points and added 6 passes. Lukoil Academik Sofia (7-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far his team won all seven games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Massamba's first season with the team. His total stats this year are: 4.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 3.6apg. Massamba plays currently for the Swedish national team.

Viktor Gaddefors
Viktor Gaddefors

Center Andreas Schreiber (206-87, agency: Two Points, college: Pennsylvania, currently plays in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) was not able to secure a victory for Vendee Challans (3-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Schreiber's very good performance Vendee Challans was edged 84-82 in Souffel. by the leading Souffelweyersheim. He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. It was his first game for Vendee Challans this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Schreiber plays currently for the Swedish national team.

Ludvig Hakanson
Ludvig Hakanson
