Norrkoping qualifies to the next stage despite the loss in Finland. The Swedish side lost 80:84 but advanced to Last 16 stage with 2-4 record.
Pyrinto needed to win by at least 11 points to finish on top in the three-way tie and steal the ticket to the Last 16 from the two Swedish teams. Pyrinto lost the first period by two points but then erupted with 22-10 in the second frame for 10-point advantage at the halftime. Norrkoping however tied the game after three quarters as they needed a 24-14 surge. Tampereen Pyrinto added 23-19 in the last period and won the game by 4 points.
Kenneth Lowe (192-G-80, college: Purdue) paced all the winners with 18 points and Antero Lehto (184-G-84) had 17. Reginald Bratton (193-G/F-86, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) delivered 15, whilst Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86, college: Rhode Island) scored 12. Anton Saks (200-SF-89) replied with 18 points in the losing case and Oladapo Ayuba (198-F-86, college: UMKC) scored 15. Mikael Lindquist (193-SG-83, agency: Court Side) ended up with 11, whilst Martin Ringstrom (206-F-81) delivered 10.

After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Basketettan and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. Newly promoted Shkupi Skopje (Prva Liga) landed 32-year old American power forward Joseph Taylor (203-102kg-85, college: Wyoming). He played most recently at Djurgarden in Swedish Superettan. In 21 games he averaged 14.5ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.5apg, 1.4spg and 1.4bpg last season. Taylor helped them to win the regular season.
