An interesting game for Sundsvall Dragons (14-2) which hosted in Sundsvall 3rd ranked Boras Basket (11-5). First ranked Sundsvall Dragons had an easy win 127-104. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boras Basket. Boras Basket was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Sundsvall Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 64 and had 21 for 30 from the free-throw line, while Boras Basket only scored four points from the stripe. Sundsvall Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Boras Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard James Miller (180-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 40 points (!!!) and 7 assists for Boras Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sundsvall Dragons have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boras Basket will play at home against Norrkoping Dolphins in Norrkoping and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Nassjo managed to get a third victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Nassjo won against fourth-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins 82-71. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Tut Ruach (188-85) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and Srdjan Damjanovic who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Keith Gabriel (190, college: VMI) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nassjo (3-13) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Eco Orebro. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the fourth position with six games lost. Nassjo will play against higher ranked 08 Stockholm (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Boras Basket having rather not much hope for a victory.
A very close game took place in Stockholm between KFUM Jamtland and White Eagles. Ninth ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-11) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked White Eagles (4-12). KFUM Jamtland managed to escape with a 1-point win 89-88 in the fight for the ninth place. The winners were led by Darryl Hudson who scored that evening 35 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws). Even 24 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) by Serkan Inan did not help to save the game for White Eagles. KFUM Jamtland maintains ninth position with 5-11 record. White Eagles lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. KFUM Jamtland will meet at home higher ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Other games in round 16 were not that significant. Solna beat 08 on the road 93-79. Eco Orebro lost to LF Basket on its own court 84-102. Sodertalje unfortunately lost to Uppsala in a road game 76-81.
The most impressive performance of 16th round was 29 points and 11 rebounds by Christopher McKnight of Boras.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Solna Vikings (9-7) beat on the road 6th ranked 08 Stockholm (8-7) 93-79 on Tuesday.
