The game between second ranked Uppsala Basket (12-5) and fifth ranked Solna Vikings (10-7) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Uppsala Basket was defeated by Solna Vikings in a tough game in Solna 89-96. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Uppsala Basket. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 37-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Solna Vikings made 33-of-37 free shots (89.2 percent) during the game, while Uppsala Basket only scored fourteen points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Uppsala Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Donald Johnson (201, college: CSU Bakersfield) contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler) answered with 16 points for Uppsala Basket. Uppsala Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Solna Vikings have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Norrkoping. Uppsala Basket at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Boras. Solna Vikings is looking forward to face Eco Orebro (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Uppsala Basket will play against Nassjo (#12) and is hoping to win this game.

American-British forward Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boras Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with Uppsala. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Solna. Boras Basket will play against KFUM Jamtland (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against 08 Stockholm (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Darris Santee came up with 22 points for Eco Orebro in the defeat. Sodertalje Kings moved-up to sixth place. Eco Orebro lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Nassjo. Sodertalje Kings will meet White Eagles (#10) in the next round. Eco Orebro will play against Solna Vikings and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Eagles was beaten by LF Basket on the road 83-78. Bottom-ranked Nassjo lost to 08 on its own court 79-94. Norrkoping outscored Jamtland in Norrkoping 91-71.



Sodertalje - Eco Orebro 113-74

The game between seventh ranked Sodertalje Kings (9-5) and 11th ranked Eco Orebro (3-14) in Sodertalje on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Sodertalje Kings outscored guests from Orebro 113-74. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Eco Orebro managed to win third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings shot 60.9 percent from the field and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Sodertalje Kings outrebounded Eco Orebro 31-18 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Sodertalje Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Eco Orebro's players. The former international Dino Pita (192-88) nailed 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds. No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked LF Basket (8-8) beat 10th ranked White Eagles (4-13) in Lulea 83-78 on Tuesday. American guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali Hussein (200-92) accounted for 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four LF Basket players scored in double figures. Montenegrin center Marko Ljujic (205-90) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Serkan Inan (198-86) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for White Eagles in the defeat. LF Basket maintains eighth place with 8-8 record. White Eagles lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. LF Basket will meet league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
