The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.
Top ranked Sundsvall Dragons (16-3) recorded its third loss on the court of sixth ranked Sodertalje Kings on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Sodertalje Kings 76-70. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Sundsvall Dragons. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 21-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Bosnian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Sodertalje Kings have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Sodertalje Kings are looking forward to face LF Basket (#8) in Lulea in the next round. Sundsvall Dragons will play at home against Solna Vikings (#4) and are hoping to win this game. American-Liberian power forward Boakai Lalugba (202-81, college: Bucknell) answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for KFUM Jamtland. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sundsvall Dragons (16-3) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Solna Vikings (#4) at home in the next round. Third ranked Uppsala Basket (14-5) played at the court of 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (9-9). Uppsala Basket defeated 08 Stockholm 96-86 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Thomas Jackson who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). At the losing side Kodi Augustus responded with 19 points. Uppsala Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with Boras. Loser 08 Stockholm keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Solna Vikings' coach Aris Likogiannis felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Solna Vikings. They moved-up to fourth place. White Eagles lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. Solna Vikings will face league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
