Latvia won the second consecutive game at the Baltic Sea Basketball Cup tournament. The team overcame Sweden 62:58 for 2-0 record. The latter meanwhile suffered their first loss and dropped at 1-1 record.
Sweden opened the game with 15-11, but failed in the second frame. Latvia erupted with 27-13 and never looked behind after. The latter also added 16-13 in the third period and enjoyed 13-point lead at the end of 30 minutes. Sweden won the last period 17-8 but could not win the game.
Sindija Kudule (162-G-97) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Paula Strautmane (184-F-97) and Digna Strautmane (188-F-98) brought 10 points each and combined for 25 rebounds. Laura Grabe (176-F-98) added 9, while Amanda Betlere (170-F-97) scored 8. Fanny Hakanson (172-SG-97) finished the game with 12 points, while Sofia Hagg (169-PG-97) , Adriana Camber (174-G-97) and Fanny Paulin (177-SG-97) delivered 7 each in a loss.
