Finland - Sweden 64:60

Finnish U16 National Team claimed the title at the traditional Baltic Sea Basketball Cup tournament in Tallinn. They held off Swedish counterparts for the third straight win at the tourney today. Lauri Markkanen (200-PF-97) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
Sweden jumped to an early lead. They accumulated a 21:10 lead after ten minutes of action. But Finland bounced back in the second term. They limited their opponents at 10 points and cut the deficit at 5-point mark at halftime 26:31. Finland continued to stay aggressive defensively in the third term. They held Sweden at 9 points in the quarter and got within 2 points. Finland exploded with 26 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the decisive victory at the end. Lassi Nikkarinen (176-PG-97) and Matias Oksa (196-SF-97) dropped 9 points each for the winners. Marcus Larsson (191-SG-97) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds for Sweden. Nils Johansson (195-SG-97), Samuel Berkelund (201-SF-97) and Craig Lecesne (196-PG-97) chipped in 10 points each in the loss.

KFUM Nassjo Basket (Basketligan) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old American forward Demarcus Daniels (201-88kg-93). Daniels has only college experience so far playing last time for N.Florida (NCAA). He has played there for the last four years. In 34 games he recorded 12.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.4apg and 2.1bpg in 2015-16 season. Daniels helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. KFUM Nassjo Basket (Basketligan) landed 25-year old American guard Angelo Griffis (196-91kg-92). He just graduated from Rochester College (NAIA). In 29 games he averaged impressive 20.8ppg, 7.6rpg and 3.0apg last season. KFUM Nassjo Basket (Basketligan) agreed terms with 18-year old naturalized American guard David Czerapowicz (189-99). He has played for the last two seasons at RIG Mark in the Basketettan. In 17 games he had 14.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.2spg last season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Swedish BasketEttan Honorable Mention.
