Finland rout Sweden in Day 3 of the Baltic Sea Basketball Cup. The Finnish side needed a 58:54 win to finish with 2-1 record on the second place. The Swedish team dropped at 1-2 record and ended up on the third place.
Finland erupted with 15-6 surge in the start f the game and dominated the first half. Both teams posted 18 points in the second frame as Finland led 9 points at the halftime. Sweden was too far to give up and bounced back with 16-10 rally in the third quarter. Finland however replied with 15-14 in the last stanza to seal the last victory.
Sandra Karsten (180-SG-97) led the way with 16 points and Marianne Kalin (183-PF-97) brought 11. Riina Karkkainen (166-G-98) and Lotta Erakangas (183-F-97) notched 7 apiece. Olivia Bringefalt (188-PF-97) poured in 13 points in the losing effort and Kristin Seman (171-SF-97) posted 10. Fanny Hakanson (172-SG-97) and Adriana Camber (174-G-97) chipped in 9 points apiece in a loss.
