An interesting game for Northland (12-3) which played road game in Solna against one of their biggest challengers Solna Vikings (10-5). Third ranked Northland managed to get a 4-point victory 64-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. Solna Vikings trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 18-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 60-64 at the end of the game. Northland made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 13 rebounds. Greek guard Nafsika Stavridou (182-86) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Northland's coach Mikael Johansson used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Eureka Brooks (170-86, college: Florida) replied with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for Solna Vikings. Northland have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-3 record having four points less than leader Norrkoping. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. Northland are looking forward to face Mark Basket (#5) in Kinna in the next round. Solna Vikings will play on the road against Jarfalla in Stockholm and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Damligan top team - Norrkoping Dolphins (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Kvarnby (6-9) 85-66. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international forward Hanna Johansson (187-89, college: Alaska-Anch.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Tanya Massamba who added 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds. Kvarnby's coach Johanna Ericsson rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Kvarnby at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sallen. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Udominate (#6) in Umea in the next round where they are favorite. Kvarnby will play at home against Visby Ladies and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked 08 Stockholm is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to tenth ranked Jarfalla (4-11) 94-60 on Wednesday evening. The winners were led by Taneisha Harrison who scored that evening 24 points. Even 23 points by Erica Iderstal did not help to save the game for 08 Stockholm. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jarfalla maintains tenth position with 4-11 record. Loser 08 Stockholm still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Jarfalla will meet at home higher ranked Solna Vikings (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. 08 Stockholm will play against IK Eos (#9) in Lund and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Uppsala was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Udominate (8-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Sallen (6-9). Udominate defeated Sallen 68-55. Jeannie Saunders fired 22 points for the winners. Udominate maintains sixth position with 8-6 record. Sallen at the other side dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Udominate's next round opponent will be league's leader Norrkoping Dolphins at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sallen will play against the league's second-placed Telge (#2).
The game in Kinna was also quite interesting. Second ranked Telge (12-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Mark Basket (9-6). Telge managed to secure a 4-point victory 65-61 on Wednesday. It was a very good performance for Rashada McCants who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 12-2 record having five points less than leader Norrkoping. Mark Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. Telge will face Sallen (#8) in Uppsala in the next round where they are favorite. Mark Basket will play on the road against Northland in Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 16 Northland beat Jarfalla on the road 96-86.
