Rashada
McCants
26-year old swingman Rashada McCants (185-G/F-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Telge and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while her team edged out Mark Basket (#5, 9-6) 65-61. Telge maintains the 2nd position in Swedish Damligan. They are still close to the very top. Telge would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-2 record. In the team's last game McCants had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Telge's top player in her first season with the team. University of North Carolina graduate has very impressive stats this year. McCants is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.9ppg), assists (5th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 1.7bpg,50.9% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Hanna Johansson (187-F-89) of top-ranked Norrkoping. She is former international forward in her first season at Norrkoping. In the last game Johansson recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she lead Norrkoping to another comfortable win 85-66 over the lower-ranked Kvarnby (#7, 6-9) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Norrkoping still keep the league's top spot. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 15-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Johansson is a newcomer at Norrkoping and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Brittany Smart (175-G-85) of Kvarnby (#7). Smart got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for ten rebounds . Despite Smart's great performance Kvarnby lost 66-85 to the higher-ranked Norrkoping (#1, 15-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Kvarnby ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Smart could help Kvarnby to bring them higher in the standings. Smart has a great season in Sweden. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.0rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.9apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tanya Massamba (182-F/G-91) of Norrkoping - 18 points and 9 rebounds
5. Josefin Vesterberg (187-F/C-93) of Northland - 17 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Alexandra Ferm (173-G-86) of Northland - 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Taneisha Harrison (182-G-89) of Jarfalla - 24 points and 4 rebounds
8. Agnes Nordstrom (181-G-88) of Sallen - 20 points and 11 rebounds
9. Ellen Nystrom (180-G-93) of Northland - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Ashley Key (177-G-85) of Mark Basket - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
