The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Akropol as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Akropol edged their biggest opponent Taby Basket in Spanga 87-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taby Basket. It was a key game for the top position in North. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 22-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Akropol outrebounded Taby Basket 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass.
