There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games.

The game between third ranked Boras Basket (14-7) and fifth ranked Solna Vikings (14-8) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Boras Basket was defeated by Solna Vikings in a tough game in Solna 88-92. Solna Vikings looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Boras Basket's players. The former international point guard Mats Levin (189-77) stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 assists for the winners and American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Solna Vikings' coach Aris Likogiannis used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard James Miller (180-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) with 18 points and 4 assists. Solna Vikings maintains fifth place with 14-8 record. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Solna Vikings are looking forward to face KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round. Boras Basket will play against Nassjo (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
Basketligan top team - Sundsvall Dragons (18-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Nassjo (3-18) 101-87. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) nailed 33 points (!!!) for the winning side and Michael Cuffee accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Nassjo in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sundsvall Dragons maintains first place with 18-3 record. Nassjo lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will play against 08 Stockholm (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nassjo will play against Boras Basket (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Lulea was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (12-8) played at the court of eighth ranked LF Basket (9-12). LF Basket managed to secure a 6-point victory 83-77 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The best player for the winners was Corey Stokes who scored 24 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Edgars Jeromanovs who recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. LF Basket maintains eighth place with 9-12 record. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the sixth position with eight games lost. LF Basket will meet higher ranked Sodertalje Kings (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Eco Orebro and hope to secure a win.
The game in Lulea was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Solna Vikings (14-8) played at the court of 8th ranked LF Basket (9-12). Solna Vikings managed to secure a 9-point victory 84-75. It was a good game for Roope Ahonen who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Solna Vikings' coach Aris Likogiannis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Solna Vikings maintains fifth place with 14-8 record. LF Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Solna Vikings' next round opponent will be KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road. LF Basket will play against Sodertalje Kings.
Seventh ranked 08 Stockholm (11-10) crushed at home 10th ranked White Eagles (5-16) by 31 points 104-73, which is the biggest margin this round on Thursday night. Kodi Augustus stepped up and scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. 08 Stockholm's coach Tommie Hansson felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. 08 Stockholm maintains seventh place with 11-10 record. Newly promoted White Eagles keep the tenth position with 16 games lost. 08 Stockholm will face league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. White Eagles will play against the league's second-placed Uppsala Basket (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 21: Eco Orebro was destroyed by Uppsala on the opponent's court 90-62. Sodertalje managed to outperform Jamtland in a home game 101-94. 08 was rolled over Sodertalje on the road 82-63.



Nassjo - Sundsvall 87-101

Basketligan top team - Sundsvall Dragons (18-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Nassjo (3-18) 101-87. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Sundsvall Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Nassjo's 44. Sundsvall Dragons forced 22 Nassjo turnovers. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) nailed 33 points (!!!) for the winning side and American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian guard Tut Ruach (188-85) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Nassjo in the defeat. Very expected game when 11th ranked Eco Orebro (4-17) was crushed on the road by second ranked Uppsala Basket (15-6) 90-62 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 56-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Uppsala Basket forced 20 Eco Orebro turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Uppsala Basket made 8 blocks. American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) stepped up and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Uppsala Basket's coach Kelly Grant felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Norrkoping Dolphins trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-83 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for LF Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Corey Stokes (195-88, college: Villanova, agency: Two Points) who scored 24 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sodertalje Kings (14-5) defeated at home 9th ranked KFUM Jamtland (6-15) 101-94 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KFUM Jamtland won third quarter 30-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Sodertalje Kings won last quarter 34-28. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Sodertalje Kings outrebounded KFUM Jamtland 36-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists.
