The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated IK Eos (13-1) in Lund on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Brahe Basket (9-4) 92-82. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of IK Eos. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in South. Brahe Basket forced 20 IK Eos turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by IK Eos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) contributed with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center David Hult (204-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for IK Eos. IK Eos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brahe Basket moved-up to second place in South. IK Eos at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Brahe Basket are looking forward to face Hogsbo (#10) in Goteborg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. IK Eos will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Umea (11-4) against fourth ranked LF Future (9-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Umea was defeated by LF Future in a tough game in Lulea 85-90. Guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) scored 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jonathan Larsson chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. LF Future's coach Jim Enbom allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Johan Pierre (187-89, agency: Interperformances) responded with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. LF Future maintains fourth position in North with 9-3 record. Newly promoted Umea keeps the second place with four games lost. LF Future will play against Orongo Dragons (#10) in Sundsvall in the next round where they are favorite. Umea will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Eskilstuna (7-8) 80-41 on Saturday evening. Julian Rodriguez Lopez notched 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort. Even 12 points by Jordan Peltier did not help to save the game for Sanda Basket. Sanda Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Eskilstuna maintains seventh position in South with 7-8 record, which they share with Hoganas. Loser Sanda Basket still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Eskilstuna will meet at home Helsingborg (#11) in the next round. Sanda Basket will play against Jarfalla and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Stockholm was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Akropol (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Fryshuset (6-8). Akropol managed to secure a 8-point victory 87-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fryshuset. The best player for the winners was Richard Hartmann who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Fryshuset's coach Anto Dogic tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Akropol have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader. Fryshuset at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Akropol's next round opponent will be Solna Branten (#6) at home where they are favorite. Fryshuset will play against KFUM Uppsala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Helsingborg. Ninth ranked Talje Knights (5-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 11th ranked Helsingborg (3-10) 74-72 on Sunday evening. Jesper Andersson orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Talje Knights maintains ninth position in South with 5-7 record. Loser Helsingborg keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. Talje Knights will face higher ranked Haga Haninge (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Helsingborg will play against Eskilstuna (#7).

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14:
In North Alvik Basket beat Jarva Devils on the road 83-70. Taby destroyed Blackeberg on its own court 96-76. Umea managed to outperform BG Lulea in a road game 86-75. Solna Branten recorded a loss to Uppsala KFUM at home 66-80. Orongo was defeated by Solna Branten on the opponent's court 75-58.
In South Haga Haninge was beaten by Jarfalla in a home game 84-98. Boras II was destroyed by Helsingborg on the road 80-60. Hoganas managed to outperform Talje on its own court 90-80. Malbas managed to beat Hogsbo in Malmo 72-58.



Group North
Fryshuset - Akropol 79-87

The game in Stockholm was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Akropol (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Fryshuset (6-8). Akropol managed to secure a 8-point victory 87-79. No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Alvik Basket (5-7) beat on the road 12th ranked Jarva Devils (1-13) 83-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Alvik Basket. Jarva Devils was better in third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Jakob Andersson (196, college: Allan Hancock CC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Bjorn Larsson Hillgren (-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Kevin Olofsson (-92) replied with 19 points and forward Carl-Johan Hugner (193-85) added 3 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Jarva Devils. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvik Basket moved-up to ninth place in North. Jarva Devils lost ninth consecutive game. Rather expected game when 5th ranked KFUM Blackebergs (7-5) were smashed on the road by third ranked Taby Basket (10-2) 96-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Taby Basket. KFUM Blackebergs was better in third quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taby Basket forced 21 KFUM Blackebergs turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Taby Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by KFUM Blackebergs' players. Guard Jimmy Lundin (184-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists. Forward Calle Arnold (195-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. point guard Gino Panghulan (175-90) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and center Nicklas Bergstrom (205-78) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Blackebergs. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Uppsala. Solna Branten was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Swingman Simon Ezra (197-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Center Odin Lindell (205-90) contributed with 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to seventh ranked Eskilstuna (7-8) 80-41 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Eskilstuna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sanda Basket to just 4 points in second quarter. Eskilstuna dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sanda Basket's 30. Eskilstuna forced 21 Sanda Basket turnovers. Spanish Julian Rodriguez Lopez notched 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Daniel Urban (198-88) supported him with 19 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by guard Jordan Peltier (188-95) did not help to save the game for Sanda Basket. Guard Alexander Russom (191-95) added 4 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Sanda Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Eskilstuna maintains seventh position in South with 7-8 record, which they share with Hoganas. Loser Sanda Basket still closes the standings with 14 games lost. There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Haga Haninge (8-5) lost at home to sixth ranked Jarfalla (7-6) 98-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Jarfalla. Haga Haninge was better in third quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jarfalla dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Haga Haninge's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Leonard Halling (200-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) contributed with 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Jarfalla players scored in double figures. Forward Tim Hakansson (192-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and guard Bjorn Johansson (190-83) added 21 points in the effort for Haga Haninge. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jarfalla have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Jarfalla maintains sixth position in South with 7-6 record. Loser Haga Haninge keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Jarfalla will face Sanda Basket (#12) in Huskvarna in the next round where they are favorite. Haga Haninge will play on the road against Talje Knights (#9).

It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of IK Eos. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in South. Brahe Basket forced 20 IK Eos turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by IK Eos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Cavalieri is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
