Marko
Latinovic
Serbian forward, Marko Latinovic is a new addition to basketball club White Eagles Stockholm (Basketligan). 203cm tall forward from Serbia, has signed a contract on the 14th of January that will last for the rest of the season. Latinovic has a very interesting career behind his back. First he played in the NCAA league in US. According to South Carolina News Paper:
"Marko is a very fast, quick and athletic wing player, with long arms. Has ability to post up if necessary, but would rather drive to the basket and finish it strong at the rim with great dunking skills or pull up the jump shot. He is a very good 3 point shooter (42.8%). According to Mark Peeler, his college coach, Marko is the best defender that he has had in a long period of time. He is very smart, reads the offence, and understands the game of basketball very well.?
However, after graduating college, he was invited to NBA Summer League with Miami Heat. But due to NBA lockout, he signed in Asia. He played in South East Asian Team from Male averaging 32.4 PPG and 14.8 RPG. Those incredible stats got him a MVP award for the South East Asia region. After that he joined the club from Iceland -Thor Thorl, where he averaged 14.8 PPG and 7.9 RPG. However he finished that 2011/2012 season in Basket Esch from Luxembourg averaging 14.2 RPG and 5.2 RPG. During the summer 2012, he was part of Club Africana in Tunis, Tunisia. Since that did not work out, Latinovic?s journey continued in Thailand, where he averaged 26.8 PPG and 15.8 RPG. From worm Thailand, he continued his career in cold Slovakia, wearing BK Iskra Svit jersey. But as we found out, he left the club after couple of games due to financial problems. Will Latinovic?s journey end in Stockholm for this season, or is it going to continue at some other part of the world?
