There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader.

Top ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (16-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Telge (15-2) 70-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Telge made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Rashada McCants (185-86, college: N.Carolina) who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Angelique Robinson (179, college: JMU) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Elisabeth Egnell (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) who recorded 24 points. Telge have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 15-2 record behind leader Norrkoping. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. Telge are looking forward to face Visby Ladies (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping Dolphins will have a break next round.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Telge. Second ranked Telge faced 4th ranked Solna Vikings. Host Telge (15-2) defeated guests from Solna (11-7) 73-58. It was a good game for American forward Angelique Robinson (179, college: JMU) who led her team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Jennifer Stjarnstrom contributed with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Katarina Andersson (191-83) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds for Solna Vikings. Telge have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 15-2 record behind leader Norrkoping. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Telge will play against Visby Ladies (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Solna Vikings will play against Sallen (#8) in Uppsala and hope to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked 08 Stockholm (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 89-56 loss to seventh ranked Kvarnby (7-10) in Stockholm on Saturday evening. Brittany Smart had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Vedrana Milakovic with 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kvarnby maintains seventh position with 7-10 record. Loser 08 Stockholm still closes the standings. Kvarnby will meet at home IK Eos (#9) in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play against Udominate in Umea and hopes to get finally their first victory.

They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Northland will have a break next round. Sallen will play on the road against Solna Vikings (#4).
The game in Kinna was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Solna Vikings (11-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Mark Basket (10-7). Mark Basket managed to secure a 9-point victory 72-63 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Ashley Key who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Mark Basket maintains fifth position with 10-7 record. Loser Solna Vikings keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Mark Basket will face Jarfalla (#10) in Stockholm in the next round where they are favorite. Solna Vikings will play at home against Sallen (#8) in Uppsala.

In the last game of round 18 Jarfalla defeated Eos in Stockholm 83-73.



Sallen - Northland 61-66

The game in Uppsala was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Northland (14-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Sallen (6-11). Northland managed to secure a 5-point victory 66-61. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sallen won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Northland dominated on the defensive end, holding Sallen to just 7 points in second quarter. They made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Northland forced 29 Sallen turnovers. Strangely Sallen outrebounded Northland 51-30 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Sallen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's, agency: Josep and Nicolas) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Frida Aili (179-88) supported her with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Northland players scored in double figures. Northland's coach Mikael Johansson allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds by Norwegian power forward Kristina Tattersdill (184-83) did not help to save the game for Sallen. International guard Agnes Nordstrom (181-88) added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Northland have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-3 record having just three points less than leader Norrkoping. Sallen lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Eureka Brooks (170-86, college: Florida) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Katarina Andersson (191-83) added 19 points respectively. Four Solna Vikings players scored in double figures. Mark Basket maintains fifth position with 10-7 record. Loser Solna Vikings keep the fourth place with seven games lost. There was a minor upset in Lund where 9th ranked IK Eos (5-11) were defeated by eleventh ranked Jarfalla (5-12) 83-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. Jarfalla made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import guard Natasha Vital (173-88, college: California) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Danish guard Anna Seilund (174-93) who recorded 29 points and center Louise Angel (190-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. IK Eos' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jarfalla moved-up to tenth place. Loser IK Eos keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Jarfalla will face higher ranked Mark Basket (#5) in Kinna in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
