The most exciting game of round 15 in the Basketettan took place in Uppsala. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Fryshuset (6-9) to eighth ranked KFUM Uppsala (7-8) 73-71 on Saturday evening. KFUM Uppsala forced 20 Fryshuset turnovers. It was a good game for Norwegian guard Joakim Hellerstrom (190-87) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lukas Friberg (183-95) contributed with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. point guard Mehmet Dilek (186-94) answered with 21 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for Fryshuset. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KFUM Uppsala have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in North. Fryshuset at the other side dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Orongo. KFUM Uppsala are looking forward to face Orongo Dragons (#8) in Sundsvall in the next round. Fryshuset will play at home against Alvik Basket in Bromma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Basketettan top team - Akropol (12-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Solna Branten (6-7) in Spanga 77-56. It was a great evening for forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Christian Koutras helped adding 20 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Daniel Johansson (200-95) with 13 points. Solna Branten's coach Christer Sjogren gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Akropol have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in North with 12-3 record. Solna Branten at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Akropol will play against Umea (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Solna Branten will play against KFUM Blackebergs (#5) in Vallingby and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to sixth ranked Jarfalla (8-6) 81-68 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Jean Alix who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Alexander Russom came up with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for Sanda Basket in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Jarfalla. They moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with Haga Haninge. Sanda Basket lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Jarfalla will meet Helsingborg (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sanda Basket will play against Haga Haninge and hopes to get finally their first victory.
A very interesting game took place in Talje. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Haga Haninge (8-6) to ninth ranked Talje Knights (6-7) 70-68 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Filip Kovacek who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Talje Knights maintains ninth place in South with 6-7 record. Haga Haninge at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Talje Knights' next round opponent will be higher ranked Malbas (#3) in Malmo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Haga Haninge will play at home against Sanda Basket in Huskvarna.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Eskilstuna (7-9) and Helsingborg (4-10), which took place in Eskilstuna. Higher ranked Eskilstuna was outleveled at home by eleventh ranked Helsingborg 81-60 on Saturday. It was a good game for Filip Sjostrom who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Helsingborg's coach Rachid El-Hallah felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Helsingborg maintains eleventh place in South with 4-10 record. Loser Eskilstuna keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Helsingborg will face higher ranked Jarfalla (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15:
In North Orongo was smashed by LF Future on the road 96-68. Alvik Basket lost to Taby on its own court 69-85. Jarva Devils unfortunately lost to Blackeberg in Vallingby 63-68. BG Lulea recorded a loss to Orongo at home 79-91.
In South Hoganas was crushed by Malbas on the opponent's court 99-77. Brahe Basket beat Hogsbo in a home game 68-60.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 30 points and 16 rebounds by Markus Lenngren of Hogsbo.



Group North
LF Future - Orongo 96-68

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked LF Future (10-3) crushed 8th ranked Orongo Dragons (6-9) in Lulea 96-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. LF Future led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. LF Future forced 21 Orongo Dragons turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Orongo Dragons' players. It was a good game for guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Australian swingman Timothy Kearney (200-86) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward William Gutenius (205-92) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Oskar Granat (181-95) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Orongo Dragons. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LF Future maintains fourth place in North with 10-3 record. Loser Orongo Dragons keep the eighth position with nine games lost. LF Future will have a break next round. Orongo Dragons will play at home against KFUM Uppsala (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game when 10th ranked Alvik Basket (5-8) lost to third ranked Taby Basket (11-2) in Bromma 69-85 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Taby Basket. Alvik Basket was better in third quarter 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Alvik Basket 45-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for swingman Erik Andersson (197-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Frank Nordin (-90) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marten Melinder (194-92) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Anton Juhlin (-91) added 17 points in the effort for Alvik Basket. Alvik Basket's coach Torbjorn Gehrke rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Taby Basket moved-up to second place in North. Newly promoted Alvik Basket keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Taby Basket will face BG Lulea (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Very predictable result when fifth ranked KFUM Blackebergs (8-5) won against 12th ranked Jarva Devils (1-14) in Vallingby 68-63 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. KFUM Blackebergs forced 22 Jarva Devils turnovers. Jarva Devils were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Nicklas Bergstrom (205-78) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jonas Rusom (-94) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Center Sermed Hasan (208-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and American guard Erik Friman (194-92, college: Iona) added 15 points in the effort for Jarva Devils. Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked BG Lulea (1-12) lost at home to eighth ranked Orongo Dragons (6-9) 91-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Orongo Dragons. BG Lulea was better in second period 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Orongo Dragons won last quarter 26-16. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to BG Lulea's 58. They outrebounded BG Lulea 43-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for guard Daniel Eliasson (190-92) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Markus Williams (198-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Orongo Dragons players scored in double figures. Malbas maintains third place in South with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Akropol. Loser Hoganas keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Malbas will face Talje Knights (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Hogsbo (5-9) lost to second ranked Brahe Basket (10-4) in Huskvarna 60-68 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hogsbo won fourth quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brahe Basket forced 24 Hogsbo turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Matthew Cavalieri (198-89, college: Springfield) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Cavalieri is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Markus Lenngren (196-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and center Robert Isaksson (202-87) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hogsbo. The victory was the third consecutive win for Brahe Basket. They maintain second place in South with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader Akropol. Loser Hogsbo keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Eskilstuna (7-9) and Helsingborg (4-10), which took place in Eskilstuna. Higher ranked Eskilstuna was outleveled at home by eleventh ranked Helsingborg 81-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Helsingborg. Eskilstuna was better in third quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Eskilstuna 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for forward Filip Sjostrom (198-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). point guard Martin Fastberg (189-91) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Helsingborg's coach Rachid El-Hallah felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Domingo Sanchez (-87) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Daniel Urban (198-88) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Eskilstuna. Helsingborg maintains eleventh place in South with 4-10 record. Loser Eskilstuna keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Helsingborg will face higher ranked Jarfalla (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Bottom-ranked Sanda Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to sixth ranked Jarfalla (8-6) 81-68 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-68. Jarfalla forced 22 Sanda Basket turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Jarfalla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Jean Alix (200-79) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Jonas Schutser (180-95) accounted for 11 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Jarfalla players scored in double figures. Guard Alexander Russom (191-95) came up with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Albin Hall Eriksson (-96) added 10 points respectively for Sanda Basket in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Jarfalla. They moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with Haga Haninge. Sanda Basket lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Jarfalla will meet Helsingborg (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sanda Basket will play against Haga Haninge and hopes to get finally their first victory.
