Basketligan top team - Sundsvall Dragons (20-3) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat fifth ranked Solna Vikings (15-9) 101-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Solna Vikings. Sundsvall Dragons made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Solna Vikings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) answered with 27 points for Solna Vikings. Sundsvall Dragons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-3 record. Solna Vikings at the other side keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Sundsvall Dragons are looking forward to face White Eagles (#10) in Stockholm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Solna Vikings will have a break next round.

Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Axel Nordstrom helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Uppsala Basket's coach Kelly Grant allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) responded with 17 points. Uppsala Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-6 record having just three points less than leader Sundsvall. Nassjo lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Uppsala Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nassjo will play on the road against Eco Orebro (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 23 08 was beaten by Boras on the road 91-80. Eco Orebro won against Eagles on its own court 93-79.
The most impressive performance of 23th round was 28 points and 12 assists by Terell Castle of Eco Orebro.


Boras - 08 91-80

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Boras Basket (16-7) beat at home 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (11-12) 91-80. 08 Stockholm was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 30-14 third quarter run of Boras Basket. It was a great evening for American point guard James Miller (180-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Norwegian-American guard Terrence Oglesby (188-88, college: Clemson) helped adding 24 points. American forward Kodi Augustus (203-87, college: Mississippi St., agency: Two Points) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Rudy Mbemba (184-87) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket moved-up to third place. 08 Stockholm at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Boras Basket will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) in Norrkoping in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play on the road against Sodertalje Kings and hopes to get back on the winning track.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked White Eagles (5-18) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Eco Orebro (5-18) 93-79. The game was mostly controlled by Eco Orebro. White Eagles was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 28-of-33 charity shots (84.8 percent) during the game. Eco Orebro players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. It was a great evening for American-Bosnian point guard Terell Castle (182-72, college: Nicholls St., agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 assists. William Magarity (210-93) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Eco Orebro players scored in double figures.
