The most exciting game of round 26 in the Basketligan took place in Boras. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Uppsala Basket (18-7) to third ranked Boras Basket (18-8) 91-88 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Uppsala Basket. Boras Basket made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international center Michael Palm (209-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Norwegian-American guard Terrence Oglesby (188-88, college: Clemson) chipped in 29 points. American point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler) produced 18 points and 6 assists for the guests. Boras Basket maintains third position with 18-8 record having four points less than leader Sundsvall. Uppsala Basket at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Boras Basket are looking forward to face White Eagles (#10) in Stockholm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Uppsala Basket will play on the road against Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) in Norrkoping and is hoping to win this game.
Leader Sundsvall Dragons delivered the twentieth second victory. This time they beat 7th ranked 08 Stockholm (12-14) 93-81. Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Michael Cuffee contributed with 23 points for the winners. American forward Kodi Augustus (203-87, college: Mississippi St., agency: Two Points) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for 08 Stockholm. Sundsvall Dragons maintains first position with 22-4 record. 08 Stockholm at the other side keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Eco Orebro (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. 08 Stockholm will play against the league's second-placed Uppsala Basket (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Christian Maraker scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners. Szymon Lukasiak responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 16-8 record. Newly promoted Nassjo stay dead last with 21 lost games. They share the position with Eco Orebro and Eagles. Norrkoping Dolphins will meet at home league's second-placed Uppsala Basket in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nassjo will play against LF Basket (#8) in Lulea and hope to secure a win.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Lulea. Local LF Basket (10-14) outscored 10th ranked White Eagles (5-21) 82-63. Henry Dugat notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort. LF Basket's coach Charles Barton used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LF Basket maintains eighth position with 10-14 record. White Eagles lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth place with 21 games lost. LF Basket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Nassjo (#12) at home. White Eagles will play against Boras Basket.

In the last two games of round 26 Solna defeated Sodertalje in a road game 78-70. Jamtland beat Eco Orebro at home 86-81.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Sodertalje Kings (16-7) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Solna Vikings (17-9) 78-70. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-19 Sodertalje Kings' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 78-70 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Solna Vikings especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) notched 17 points to lead the effort and the former international swingman Jim Nystrom (194-82, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 16 points. Even 24 points by Bosnian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82) did not help to save the game for Sodertalje Kings. It looked good early as White Eagles took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then LF Basket had a 26-13 second period charge getting the lead and White Eagles were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-82. LF Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to White Eagles' 40. LF Basket forced 22 White Eagles turnovers. American guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Lamarcus Reed (195-88, college: Texas Arlington) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Four LF Basket players scored in double figures. LF Basket's coach Charles Barton used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
