There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Damligan.

Seventh-ranked Kvarnby (9-12) made lots of trouble for first ranked Telge (19-2) on Wednesday. The visitors from Telge managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 29-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Telge made 8 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Rashada McCants (185-86, college: N.Carolina) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Angel Robinson (172-89, college: Marquette) chipped in 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Brittany Smart (175-85, college: Cedarville) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Telge have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-2 record, which they share with Norrkoping. Kvarnby at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Telge is looking forward to face Udominate (#5) in Umea in the next round. Kvarnby will play on the road against Northland in Lulea and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked 08 Stockholm (0-21) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-43 loss to fourth ranked Solna Vikings (14-7) in Stockholm. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek forward Anna Spyridopoulou (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Christy Bacon contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Solna Vikings' coach Kostas Keramidas felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Cynthia Kumbi (176-93) replied with 8 points and 6 rebounds for 08 Stockholm. Solna Vikings have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 14-7 record. 08 Stockholm at the other side still closes the standings. Solna Vikings will play against IK Eos (#10) in Lund in the next round where they are favorite. 08 Stockholm will play on the road against Mark Basket in Kinna and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Ninth-ranked Jarfalla (7-14) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Udominate (12-9) in Umea on Tuesday. Udominate managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Kristina Nybom scored 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Taneisha Harrison responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds. Udominate maintains fifth position with 12-9 record. Loser Jarfalla dropped to the eighth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Sallen. Udominate will meet league's leader Telge on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jarfalla will play against the league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins (#2) and hope to secure a win.

Earnesia Williams fired 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Visby Ladies' coach Igor Skocovski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Visby Ladies moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Eos. Mark Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Visby Ladies will face higher ranked Sallen (#8) in Uppsala in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.

Rest of the games of round 22 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Udominate were crushed by Northland in Lulea 74-55. Norrkoping smashed Sallen at home 81-32. Northland destroyed Eos on the opponent's court 86-53.



Eos - Visby 57-55

A very interesting game took place in Lund. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Visby Ladies (6-15) to eleventh ranked IK Eos (6-15) 57-55 in the fight for the tenth place. It looked good early as Visby Ladies took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then IK Eos took control winning next two quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Visby Ladies to just 6 points in third quarter. Danish point guard Anna Seilund (174-93) notched 13 points to lead the effort and forward Josefine Von Uthmann (180-91, college: St.Peter's) supported her with 6 points and 6 rebounds. IK Eos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Earnesia Williams (185-87, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Visby Ladies. Her fellow American import guard Michele Miller (180-85, college: Xavier) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. IK Eos moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Visby. IK Eos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Solna Vikings (#4) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

There was no surprise in Lulea where 5th ranked Udominate (12-9) was crushed by third ranked Northland (17-4) 74-55 on Friday. The game without a history. Northland led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Udominate's 22. Northland forced 22 Udominate turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's, agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. International guard Frida Aili (179-88) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Northland's coach Mikael Johansson used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Pamela Rosanio (178-86, college: Massachusetts) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Jessica Nilsson (184-89) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Northland have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-4 record having just two points less than leader Telge. Lulea Basket keeps Hagg for another season - May 27, 2016

Lulea Basket (Damligan) re-signed 19-year old guard Sofia Hagg (169-97). She has played there for the last two seasons. In 33 Damligan games she recorded 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg last season. She helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Hagg also played 4 games in Eurocup where she averaged just 1.3ppg.
