Christian
Koutras
Naturalized Greek Christian Koutras (189-G-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Akropol and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Basketettan Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 24-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 15 points addeding also eleven rebounds and eighteen assists, while his team beat Orongo (#9, 6-11) 73-65. Akropol was forced-out from the top positions in Greek Basketettan. They are still close to the very top. Akropol would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. Koutras turned to be Akropol's top player in his first season with the team. Cuesta JC graduate has very impressive stats this year. Koutras is league's best passer with 10.5apg. Koutras is in league's top in and averages solid 2.4spg and 62.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Akropol's star - 23-year old forward Richard Hartmann (201-F-89). Hartmann impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Akropol cruised to a 73-65 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Orongo (#9, 6-11). Despite this victory Akropol slide down in the standings to 2nd position in North. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 14 matches. Hartmann is well-known by Akropol fans and together with Christian Koutras they both established positions among team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#6). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Nicklas Bergstrom (205-C-78) of Blackeberg (#5). Bergstrom scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Blackeberg, leading his team to a 78-68 win against the lower-ranked Fryshuset (#10, 6-11). Blackeberg needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in North. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Bergstrom has a very solid season. In 15 games in Sweden he scored 17.7ppg. He also has 7.9rpg, 1.3bpg and FGP: 56.1%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
