Khimik romped past Norrkoping in Yuzny tonight to seal their EuroChallenge quarterfinal ticket. The victory propelled the hosts at 3-3 record in the second place in Group K. The Dolphins slipped at 1-5 record at the bottom of the ladder. Khimik quickly cleared off in the opening quarter. The hosts built a 23:12 lead after ten minutes. The gap kept on growing throughout the second frame. Khimik ensured a 49:23 halftime lead. The pressure from the home team only raised in the third term. Khimik gained a 30-point advantage at the final break. Khimik and Norrkoping exchanged baskets throughout the final stanza as the home team coasted to the key victory at the end. Sava Lesic (205-C/F-88) netted 14 points to pace Khimik. Stanislav Zavadsky (213-C-87) added 12 points, while Suad Sehovic (196-G/F-87) nailed 11 points for the winners. Yesterday the Swedish Federation announced that two out of the leagues twelve teams have not been approved as members of Basketligan 2013-2014. Both 08 Stockholm Human Rights and Stockholm Eagles have been kicked out of the league due to various reasons. 08 Stockholm is kicked out because their organisation doesn't meet the standards of Basketligan, and Stockholm Eagles have not handled paperworks with work permits and staying permits for their american players correctly, and the federation have found that the club have debts. The league next year will now be played with 10 teams instead of 12.
